Happy with these so far
Great bags to be honest down side I needed two sizes and not so many of the big ones but unfortunately there is no mixed bundle. Anyway took the 6 big bags as I had a few winter duvets to store. Works a treat, trick to these is hand press the opening and then double its sealed properly. Next open the valve and don't just stick your vacuum pipe over it make sure if the bag is not full of items that you put the items under the valve. Then lift the valve away from the bag and then turn on vacuum within seconds the air will go out of the bag then screw the cap. The problem is if the valve is just vacuumed while the bag is flat the valve under will get stuck on the plastic on the opposite side and the air will not escape put properly. Really easy to use and you will understand how you see the bag. Hugh bags not really recommended for clothes unless you have a big space to store the bag flat.

Low cost storage solution
I recently made three separate purchases of these bags from Raygar, via Amazon, in sizes 90x50, 130x90 and 100x80. I found them all easy to easy to use. Although the instructions appear comprehensive , they are missing some small but essential details . There are two removable caps; the large outer one is a securing ring that retains the transparent plastic valve membrane . Prior to deflating the bag you need to check that the membrane is centred (covering the hole) , before securing it with the larger ring . Then you are ok to suck the air out with a vacuum cleaner, before inserting and tightening the smaller stopper. I've found it best to use the lowest setting on the vacuum and to pause part way through the process , to reshape and flatten the bag and contents, making it easier to store. For practicable everyday use, I'd recommend the 90x50 and 100x80 sizes. Blankets and single quilts will fit in the former, but for large double or king size, you'll need the 100x80. So far I've found only limited used for the very large 130x90 size, such as for storing garden furniture cushions. Once packed and stored I remove and store the blue plastic `zip fastener' clips as they are easily knocked off and lost. Apart from these minor observations, I'm generally very pleased with the design and quality of this product.

CHEAP and works!
My 5-star is based on price and the fact that it just does what its supposed to do - which is vacuum seal things, with no lose of seal. I took a chance and bought cheapest bags available (which always a risk) but it paid off this time. There bags more than 3 times the cost, which I dont imagine how they'd do better job. The seal on the zip-lock side is a bit fiddley, and the actual "zipper" can come off. But this is not needed, as all it does is press the two sides together (like on freezer bags) to make a seal. Your hand can do this. They work just fine themselve, its just that they come off, so you MAY lose them. But trust me, for the price you wont be sorry. The seals are good. Using them for big king size duvets, still sealed and tight over a week later. Its normally not worth buying cheap, but this is the exception that proves the rule. You wont be sorry.

Effective and inexpensive vacuum bags
I bought this set of bags to replace some, frankly useless and rather more expensive, vacuum bags which would be back to their original size within a week of sucking all the air out. These bags have a double ziplock and a mechanical seal on the vacuum port both of which seem to rectify the misdemeanours of the old bags. It has now been several months since I sucked the air out of the bags and they don't seem to have gained an inch in the meantime. The bags are big enough to fit a king size duvet or a few pillows. Given that they work out a just a couple of quid each they have proved to be an excellent buy. Highly recommended. One slight confusion is that on the front of the pack it says that the bags give you, ">78% space saving", but on the wee print at the back it says, "Recommendation: do not suck out more than 50% of the air". Not sure how you can achieve the former while heeding the latter. Needless to say I pretty much ignored the recommendation and went for the space saving. This hasn't caused a problem with the performance of the bags, but it may not be particularly friendly to the contents if and when they are unpacked.

POTENTIALLY GOOD!
I thought I would try these out to try to save some space. After the initial teething problems working out how to vacuum, it is potentially a good product although probably better for some things than others. One keeps going down and I am not sure why, whether it is faulty or not sealed properly? This size is not big enough for a single quilt and the most I could get in were two pillows so would opt for a much larger size next time. The seal is not that great and can easily come undone letting out the air. I would use again as they are potentially good and probably better for clothing but would definitely opt for a larger bag and possibly a different make with a better seal so that they stay vacuumed.

Shink-tastic
These are great. We needed to create some more space with a impending child on the way. With clothes I think you gain about 1/3 the space once vacuum packed, but the best thing is that the clothes are well protected once inside. I found it really impressive with duvets and pillows. With a little bit of squeezing I managed to fit a king size duvet and 2 pillows in one bag, once vacuumed this was more than a 1/4 the original size. The zip is easy to open and close and the supplied blue tab helps to quickly seal the zip up - but I think these could easily be lost (you do get one per bag though).
