These are twice the price but definitely worth it. They heat up very quickly and leave hair smooth and noticeabley volumized. I do use Paul Mitchell Quick Slip Styling Cream which helps as well. The only downside is the clips-they do not hold the hair on the roller and very difficult to open with one hand. I purchased a set of large plastic clips which work well. Conair needs to re evaluate the clips and come up with a replacement. The rollers themselves deserve 5 stars!

I absolutely love these rollers! So much better than the Conair hard plastic electric rollers with the awful wire clips. These are twice the price but definitely worth it. They heat up very quickly and leave hair smooth and noticeabley volumized. I do use Paul Mitchell Quick Slip Styling Cream which helps as well. The only downside is the clips-they do not hold the hair on the roller and very difficult to open with one hand. I purchased a set of large plastic clips which work well. Conair needs to re evaluate the clips and come up with a replacement. The rollers themselves deserve 5 stars!

Overall, I like these rollers. They heat quickly (I let them warm up for about 10-20 minutes) and they curl nicely (the curls in the pictures were done with the large rollers left in for about 10 minutes. I love the velvety coating - makes them much easier to roll in my opinion, but they do get hot. What I am disappointed in is the clips. I was very excited about them because I thought they would hold better than the little metal clips, BUT in order to get them to hold, you have to put them at an angle that ends up leaving a "kink" in the hair (see second picture). I'm will definitely continue using the rollers, but I'm going to get some different clips.
