This is the 2nd studio album by The Temptations for the Motown label, released in 1965. As its name implies, it is composed entirely of songs written and produced by Smokey Robinson, and other members of The Miracles. Several songs are covers of songs Robinson produced for The Miracles or Mary Wells, while the rest were originally recorded by The Temptations. Among these are 3 hit singles: "The Way You Do the Things You Do," "It's Growing", and the group's signature song, "My Girl."

Of the wonderful machine of Motown, this is my group of all thimes. I have been listening to the book Moncarch's of Soul all week. Their rendition of Smokey Robinson's classic songs with Eddie Kendricks in most of the leads, says it all. Smokey is great and Eddie justsings his heart out.
