Great stuff. Doesn’t make you feel oily. Good scent

The scent is very lightly and deliciously pleasing; not strong. It soaks in quickly and well with no greasy after effects, it also has no petroleum products in it which I love. I've used it for many years as my main body moisturizer for these reasons. A little goes a long way so it lasts. I even use it on my face after bathing now that I am older and it helps with those wrinkles!

As a long time fan of the previous formula, I must say I do like this new product. It is lightweight and smells great. The relief was instant of my redness and dryness. However, I do have to agree that the price for this new formula is absurd in comparison to the old one. I only bought this because the Ocean Potion signature scent brings back memories. If you're not nostalgic for this product, there are comparable and cheaper options.

Ocean Potion was a staple back in the early 2000s when you could grab a big bottle from Walmart for $3 and not think twice about it. Then it disappeared for years, and when it came back there was genuine excitement — only to find the formula just isn't quite the same as the original. It's hard to put a finger on exactly what's different, but longtime fans will feel it. The price-to-quantity ratio is also a harder sell now than it used to be. That said, it's not without its merits. The scent is still great — that classic Ocean Potion smell is part of the nostalgia and it hasn't changed. The lotion itself is lightweight and hydrating, and if you get too much sun it does a solid job of helping your skin recover without peeling. That part still holds up. And then there's the accidental discovery: this stuff works surprisingly well as a hair gel. Smells great, doesn't dry out your scalp, and a little water reactivates it if you need to reshape your style. Genuinely useful if you're heading straight from the beach to a meal or running errands — no second product needed. So here's where it lands: not quite the product it used to be, and the price makes it harder to justify on nostalgia alone. But the scent, the after-sun relief, and the unexpected hair styling trick keep it in the rotation.
