Fun Fantasy about a moon Adventure
Good for 2 year olds. Fun adventure between two critters and imagining what it might be like to taste the moon. Not many facts about the moon, but a fun adventure just the same.

Childhood memory
A favorite from my own childhood (I was born in โ80, three years before it was published.) I distinctly remember the magic of this book, while my kindergarten teacher read it to our class. I think we learned about hibernation and migration through the book. Now my own kids have this book. We have read it many times! I love Mooncake and canโt wait to read the other bear stories by Frank Asche.

This book is adorable! I absolutely LOVE the Moonbear books
This book is adorable! I absolutely LOVE the Moonbear books, so when I stumbled upon this title, I ordered it right away. Moonbear and his friend want to visit the moon, so they build rocket ship, Moonbear gets in but falls asleep - wakes up in the middle of winter thinking he's on the moon! When he goes back into hibernation and wakes up in the spring, he gets to tell his friend his tale of visiting and tasting the moon. I'm a preschool teacher and can use this book as an any time read, when we talk about winter/hibernation, or when we talk about outer space! So many possibilities! LOVE this book!
