As long as it’s securely fitted you should be able to drive at the speed limit for the road.

Does this roof box lock down in anyway to the roof bars or is it just screwed down by the U bolts?

Its only secured to roof bars by 4 U bolts and ive used mine twice for driving holidays to france and ive not had anything to worry about they stayed secure on both trips
