Terrible product, even worse customer service
Doesnโt work with Google home. This company has terrible, rude customer service and doesnโt know how to operate or set up their own product, let alone troubleshoot it. Contacted their customer service who insisted the Matter/Thread products I already owned didnโt suffice so I bought a Nest Hub 2nd Gen per their demand. Set that up and the motion sensors still wonโt let me add them to Google Home without adding to iOS (which I canโt do because I donโt have Apple Matter/Thread hubs). I wonโt ever come near this companyโs products again after how rude their customer service was telling me Iโm โwrongโ and when I reached back out they said I โalready got my answer for the dayโ.

Battery hungry
Needs battery replacement before winter cold weather. Goes offline unexpectedly.

Works great. When it feels like it.
Two issues with my new Eve motion detectors. First, it appears to need to be very close to the hub with little obstruction. On my first attempt I had a motion detector in my basement directly below my HomePod mini. It would not stay connected. So I moved the HomePod downstairs and now it mostly stays connected. And usually it works just fine. But every couple of days, it does not trigger the automation; then, the next time there is motion it does trigger the automation. There does not seem to be any external reason for the occasional failure. :( These are not inexpensive and I wish they were more reliable.

AVOID EVE MOTION SENSORS!
I used to trust Eve for quality. But I just had 2 out of 6 motion sensors fail after just a couple months of use. They just die. Try to replace batteries, no light blinks when you put them in, no lights ever at all. Just plain bricked dead. Such a disappointment and a real smear on this brand's name! Only reason this gets 2 stars instead of 1 is because 4 of 6 are currently still functional, but I don't have high hopes.

Constantly disconnecting
These are the worst. They constantly disconnect and then refuse to reconnect. You have to reset them, remove them from HomeKit and then it still takes 30 attempts to add them to HomeKit. I have all kinds of smart home devices of various brands (even some cheap Chinese stuff) in my home and these are the only ones that I consistently have issues with.

Unable to add accessory **** Issue resolved - Review updated ****
***** Updated review - Problem resolved - Sensors now pairing after identifying issue and changing router setting After spending another frustrating day trying to get these sensors working I found a document on the internet indicating that devices using the Matter standard require that IPv6 be enabled on the router. I have an Orbi mesh router so I logged into it and found that IPv6 is disabled by default. I enabled IPv6 and was immediately able to easily pair the Eve Motion sensors. I passed this information to the Eve support team and suggested they should make this information available in their documentation and on their support website since other people are experiencing the same issue based on the 1 and 2 star reviews that I read. I am changing my rating from 1 star to 4 stars now that I have resolved the issue and the sensors are working perfectly. I am taking off one star because basic troubleshooting information to resolve issues like this should be available on Eveโs website. I've been trying to find a highly reliable motion sensor that could be used outdoors under my eves for lighting control. They would replace my outdated Z-Wave system that has been in use approximately 15 years. I would use them with Apple Home. The Eve Motion sensors seemed perfect and there were lots of good reviews so I purchased three of them. They arrived the next day. I use a 4K Apple TV running the latest tvOS as my hub so according to the instructions I shouldn't have any problems pairing the motion sensors to my Apple Home using my iPad or iPhone which also had the latest version of iOS installed. Sadly things didn't go smoothly. Despite factory resetting the sensors, installing new batteries, modifying my WiFi network, restarting all of my devices, changing network settings, and using every possible suggestion found on the web I never successfully paired any of the three motion sensors. In each case the dreaded "Unable to Add Accessory" message would appear, sometimes after several minutes with hopefully messages such as 'connecting' and then 'setting up.' Even worse, there doesn't appear to be any way to get reasonably fast customer support from Eve. After much frustration I am returning these sensors to Amazon and will look for other solutions that work. Before purchasing these sensors do yourself a favor and read some of the 1 and 2 star reviews. Had I done so before making my purchase I probably could have avoided wasting six hours of my day and a great deal of frustration. Hopefully someday Eve will acknowledge and resolve the issue to that I can once again purchase their products. Until then I am going to wait until the issues are resolved.
