Must have for Cheese Making
This Rennet is a really good deal, make mozzarella once a week and this is now my go to. Used vinegar in the past but get much better results with this product.

Read the label it works amazing!
I started a return bc I thought it didn't work.. but it was my fault.. first make sure to add before the temp is 98.6F and be sure to let sit for 30 minutes.. my recipe said 100F and sit 10 minutes.. I am canceling my return and will purchase again.. it truly works amazing.. just read the label regardless of your recipe.

Not reliable product nor Company
After waisting 3 gallons of different kinds of whole milk not-ultrapasteurized and obtaining no usable coagulation, I called North Mountain Supply. All I was told was that it worked when she made her cheese, but they have some customers who complained about the same problem I have. Admitted that the rennet is a little weak. So why not indicate it in their Amazon description of the product? She suggested getting a refund from Amazon. The rennet is made in Italy, it indicates no expiration date. By personal experience I can say that rennet made in Italy, looses strength as time goes by and by the 12 months mark is un-usable. Who knows how old is North Mountain liquid calf rennet? Even they don't know. So here I am, out of almost $30 dollars in rennet - I purchased two bottles and tried to make cheese using one first and then the other. Both were a flop. Add to that the cost of three gallons of high quality whole milk and what do you have? Just a hole in your pocket. The moral of the story is: get your rennet from some other reputable company.

Not worked as advertised at all, I’m pretty sure I just got a bad rennet, low quality product and I would not buy this never again. After spending $18 on 3 gallons of whole milk and my time and no chesse. There’s better options out there.

Unfortunately, this rennet did not keep its potency even for 6 months. I stored it in the fridge.
