These locking points backs are amazing. I have SEVERAL pins on my backpack and feel more secure having these in the backs instead of the butterfly ones. Although it took me a minute how to figure out how to pull them off, I did eventually lol I will say they have come off a few times, only bc my bag has gotten stuck in my car and pulling on it caused some to come loose. The length is what you’d expect from a pin back but the quality is really good.

I like to put enamel pins on things like purses, jackets, tote bags and more. I've lost some pins in the past just using the simple clasp. Once I got these locking pin backs, I never had a problem again. I put pins all over many items that get a lot of use and really, that is part of the fun of collecting them...getting to display them somewhere besides, only on a banner, in the house. They are difficult to open and remove the back once on, with my arthritis. So my husband does that part when I move them around. They also take up a bit of space for the back, like a quarter of an inch. So, if you are placing them on something where that would be an issue, they may not be the best option. I love them. I've bought several boxes and will always use them as I regret losing irreplaceable pins, before finding these backs.

Definitely better than most pin backs, but still lost two in a few weeks (I use them to secure kilt pins.) Maybe just had some duds, as those were the only ones that came off. A little heavier than regular pin backs but much more functional.
