Great little kitchen gadget!
Really impressed with this egg cooker. Boils, poaches and makes omelettes perfectly every time. Super quick, easy to use and the timer buzzer is very handy. Saves me so much time in the mornings. Compact, simple to clean and works exactly as described. Definitely worth it!

Great little device, experiment a little for best omelette or poached
I owned a different brand a few years ago and was very happy with it, but it disappeared when one of my kids moved out :) I have used this extensively for a few weeks, making boiled eggs, omelettes and poached eggs. It is easy and straightforward to use, and I am happy with the results. - for omelette or poached eggs you must lightly coat the tray used with either a thin smear of butter or oil. This stops the eggs sticking. I prefer to use butter as I find oil sometimes flavours the eggs. You will probably need to experiment with how much water to use for poached or omelette to make them how you like. Less water = shorter cooking time. I found that the recommendations in the instruction manual were cooking poached and omelettes too much for my liking. The instruction manual suggests a 2-egg omelette, but I have made 3 egg omelettes without problem, using large eggs. Just to be clear, your omelette will be 12cm (4.75 inches) in diameter. I have attached photos of the results. As you see the omelette has a bubbly texture, I do not know if this is due to the butter (although I only smear as little as I can), but I have yet to try with oil in this machine. But the taste of the omelette and the poached eggs are fine. It will not replace cooking an omelette in a pan and adding fillings, but it is quick and easy and a different way to eat/cook eggs. Regarding the machine itself: - once the cooking time is finished, a buzzer sounds and the device cuts the heat, but does not actually switch off. If you leave it alone, then as it cools down, the heater will switch back on. Once the buzzer sounds you need to switch it off manually. (some other makes do not have a buzzer or other alarm, but simply switch off at the end of the cooking time). - minerals in the water can leave the hot-plate with brown stain, I find it cleans off very easily with a soapy sponge. I am very happy with this machine, and especially for boiled eggs, I find it much more convenient than boiling in a pan.

Works perfectly and looks great in a 70”s space age way. Love it.
Great little product and looks really 70”s space age when set up. First use I read the instructions and was a little disappointed at the claimed 14 minutes to boil an egg, which seemed quite a long time, but the the buzzer went off in under half that time and the eggs were perfect for me (I topped a little more water up and did my wife’s for about an extra minus and hers was described as perfect as well). I think with a couple of uses you would get the water level spot on for how you like your eggs done. Great little gadget.

Amazing eggs, but slightly dangerous
Makes absolutely perfect soft/hard boiled eggs, every time that you use it properly. But there are some serious safety issues... The main problem, which isn't obvious to the user, is that there is a tiny hole at the top of the dome for exhausting steam, and it comes out super hot in an unusually very narrow high pressure jet that isn't easy to see. If your hand/arm finds itself above this steam jet, say if you lean over the cooker to switch it off, then you will get surprisingly serious burns. I have burned myself twice from this device, including a fairly serious burn that is going to take weeks to heal. Do not let children use this egg cooker....! Absolutely do not place your head above the dome or lean down to look directly at it from above, in any circumstances - the steam jet will easily destroy your eye, as it can chew through arm skin with amazing ease. I think the manufacturer should make it clear that there is a steam jet exhaust at the top of the dome with some clear warning markings. Even better, the manufacturer should probably baffle the jet, to spread the flow of steam so that it cools/condenses in a larger volume of air, making it more visible and a bit less viciously heat bearing and laser-like. The second issue is that the boiled egg tray can be placed upside-down without realising it, as it looks very similar either way up. But if you place it upside-down then the dome doesn't seal properly under steam pressure and the water will boil itself outside of the dome and spill hot water onto your work surface, and then the cooking time will also be wrong (as this completely depends on the water being converted to steam, and not spilled out as water). So you will get a mess of water and undercooked eggs. The egg tray should have some clear markings added to it to tell you which way is up for the tray; or it should be made in a way that prevents it from being attached upside-down; or it should be made so that it can work either way up. But when you use the cooker correctly, it is is an amazing feat of engineering design and use of thermodynamics, as the quantity of water used is always perfect for cooking any range of egg sizes and quantities, and to your taste. This is genuinely amazing - and it's not as straightforward as you might think. It's like a very very advanced toaster, but for eggs, using steam. Full respect goes to the guys that calculated all of the variables for heat transfer in all of the varous conditions. Amazing stuff. It's a shame that nobody with any common sense considered how the cooker could be used practically in real life, and the serious danger that the design poses to even the most sensible of users. I am gving the cooker five stars for me personally, despite my injuries, as I really do like the boiled eggs that it produces - they are very easy to peel when steam boiled, and (now) always perfectly cooked to my taste. But realistically the cooker should get zero stars and the current design should be withdrawn from sale, as it is a serious accident that is waiting to happen to anyone that uses it.
