LOVE IT! 365 buttons for every day of the year! Seriously, I use this to make buttons for various craft projects and functions. Works great too if you print out images in the applicable space on regular paper, just make sure the print quality is nice if you’re making a proper presentation with them. Easy to use. Fun pre made images to cut out, fun to draw and print out your own. PRO TIP: Be sure to know when to use the little black ring. I find it’s needed for the metal backings but not the plastic ones. Directions do not say any of this. PRO TIP: if making and printing your own, remember to give the circle like a 5-10 mm border beyond the image circle. You’ll need that to crimp around the plate, so remember to not include imagery in that border. Play with it to figure it out.

Ok, so after using this bad boy after 10 days I realized in order for the buttons to come out perfect you have to put force into your pressing. You can just press the materials but they will nearly always fail. I feel like Im going to break it but that's also just in my head. It's lightweight but having a sturdy/solid surface underneath is key! Also, you cannot use this for trading cards. The trading card material is too thick and will jam the press. In order to use trading cards they have to be cut a couple mm's larger than the button or smaller, NOT the full size of the pressing circle area.

So I've NEVER written a review before. But I'm only doing this to help other consumers. I've seen different reviews for this and many of the negative reviews have very similar responses. From an objective point of view, I feel like these machines are somewhat hit or miss. I ordered 1 and it barely made any buttons. About 1/10 buttons were feasible. I requested a replacement instead of getting a refund and I did button after button, probably close to 50 or so, and NONE worked. I tried different paper, matched with the mylar shape, tried making a button WITHOUT ink, just plain paper (because some online sources say print form an laser printer could cause possible crimping issues due to wax or whatnot). Then I'm pretty sure I used all the correct materials. I then saw online about a little slick stick for putting on the machine so the mylar doesn't slip around. Honestly I don't buy that that is the reason the buttons all failed. I think it's just the design of the machine. If it IS true that I HAVE to have other specialized products to actually make buttons, then I feel they should tell you. It's advertised as a machine that's ready-to-go, it seems with the supplies. Overall, very disappointing. I get that SOME machines people have gotten may work. I've noticed this same problem with many of the other types of machines like this. There seems to be no consistency. It's almost a hit and miss with them. My suggestion: don't risk it unless you want to face a very real possibility of disappointment. I mean notice the reviews. It's not like MOST of them are 5 stars and then trickle down. They are completely spread out. THAT is a red flag in and of itself. Don't try it. The design defect, I feel, is that it doesn't crimp or fold over just due to the design of the machine. Like I said though, you MAY actually GET a good machine that works. It doesn't mean it's a good design overall. You just HAPPEN to have a good one. Before writing this review I also had reached out to the company. They wanted pictures and/or videos and such. Honestly, I don't have the time and don't want to engage in a several day/week ordeal going back and forth discussing the issues. The design is bad, or the design doesn't work for a lot of the times. I just wanted to pay for a product that works. It doesn't work, so I wanted a replacement. It was even worse so I asked what resolutions we can come up with. Once I was sent the message to do all this extra work, I decided "nope, I'm doing the refund and going to write a review". I'm not in it enough to invest in a back-and-forth honestly. No problems with the company, just this product. I haven't the experience yet with the company to say if they're trustworthy or not. It seems they are quick and easy to deal with so that's good! Just a bad situation I guess. I'm not angry or don't want to be negative. Just felt this issue was big enough to offer a warning to those seeking to spend good money for a quality product. I'd avoid this machine.

So very easy to use. I didn't even finish reading the first page of the instructions and got the hang of it. I was surprised on the quality and the amount of supplies you get. You also get the tools needed to maintain the machine. It's very lightweight and doesn't take up too much space. I'm completely happy with my purchase. One thing though, be very careful when you cut the zip tie holding down the handle to the base. It sprung up and bit my hand. But that happened because I wasn't careful.

Really solid setup for making buttons. Comes with a bunch of included accessories and pre-sized samples so you can start right away. Pins come out clean and the colors and sizes look good if printed right, definitely a good choice to make custom stuff. Only issue is one of the sizes had a dent in the base which causes a slightly uneven crimp. Doesn’t completely ruin it but it’s noticeable and not really fixable since it’s part of the tool. Everything else worked fine though.

The initial product I received had some issues in making the buttons correctly, so the VEVOR team sent me a new product and it works perfectly! Very easy to use once you get accustomed to the set up and process.

I love the idea of a button maker machine. I have posted pics, Pros and Cons below: PROS - Makes fast buttons - When they get thru ok they look professional - lots of materials for the cost; good buy. - I love them they are super cute - Easy to operate. No need for strong-arm. My granny could do it. CONS (for everyone) - The actual "content" hole is 1.375. You can get a cutter for 1.25 (too small) and 1.50 (too big). I fixed that by getting a 1.25 and using a glue stick to center the art on the metal pin base. Otherwise the machine shoves the art off center. - The instructions suck, you kinda have to teach yourself but it's not hard. There are two bases, one is for the metal pin base and art and plastic cover sheet (provided), the other is for the plastic base which has a pin in it. - If you don't push down hard and quick enough you will hear a plastic "snick", which means your button was ruined. - You really need to secure the base on something or just deal with rocking every time you make a button. CONS (personal) - It bit me in the palm. (pictured) I bled and it hurt for days. DO NOT put your hand on top of the machine to try to control the rocking of the base, you will regret it. I also have a bruise on my chin cuz I sat it on the final step. Don't do that. - Took me awhile to figure out but if the metal doesn't make a perfect cup, the machine will not make a button. Over a third of mind arrived damaged. - Another 10% arrived with half the metal base missing (pictured). NOT GOOD. - Check your plastic pin parts, some of them have the zig zag on the cup side, not the flat side. You can only maker a button on the FLAT SIDE. It took a few tries for me to realize it was backwards. They're pre-produced that way so I figure not my fault. - Mike has TONS of rust on it (pictured), and there is a lot of oil leaking from the neck of the machine, but no instructions on how to oil it. I am concerned about the long term of this machine. Final thoughts: I would not have said anything if it was $20, but for over $100, I got about 20-30% of what was promised. It does make buttons tho.

I am so glad I added the VEVOR 2.25-inch (58mm) Button Maker Machine to my studio! As someone who runs a small crafting business, I need tools that are both reliable and efficient, and this kit completely delivers.

I got this button press and kit to make some buttons for my daughters school and to make some cosplay buttons. The machine works great! I have probably made 150 buttons and I've only had maybe 5 failures? And they were all user error or not pushing down hard enough *see below I think it's mostly technique that yields good buttons. One important thing to do is to use a good template for your paper graphics, it should be about the same size as the mylar. If you make the paper design too small, it won't fold under the button correctly. I made mine 40mm in diameter for the 32mm button machine and it works great. Tips: Make sure you only use regular photocopy or laser paper. Don't use thicker paper stock. Make sure you only have one clear piece of mylar on top, not two. Static can make them stick together. Press down all the way on the lever, slowly and firmly. Doing it fast yields errors. When I press down on the backing with the safety pin, there's a noticeable point where the press stops, but then you can press it further. Press down ALL THE WAY to ensure a good tight seal.
