Well worth it!
I have been using this machine for about 6 months now. I love it. It's a perfectly sufficient machine, so I'm not sure the trouble other reviewers have had. I originally thought the base looked pretty gnarled and cheap but I later learned that the brown is protective paper that peels off. It also came with a ton of parts. I'm only just now needing to restock. There is a bit of a learning curve with the back alignment but quick to get used to. The parts are a bit cheap but still sufficient. I've had a few of the pins pop off but I think that was from not using sufficient pressure when making them. My only real "complaint" if you want to call it that, is that i wish the base was actually heavier. Sometimes when I am pressing hard, the machine will lift a little. A heavier base would keep it steady without having to permanently attach it to the surface. Other than that, I am absolutely satisfied with my purchase. I have since bought the 1in and plan to purchase a larger size soon. I produce pins for sale and have yet to have any complaints from customers or from friends/family who have received them. I recommend, but caution new users to make sure they are using it right before reporting it as a bad product.

Awesome
Ok, so after using this bad boy after 10 days I realized in order for the buttons to come out perfect you have to put force into your pressing. You can just press the materials but they will nearly always fail. I feel like Im going to break it but that's also just in my head. It's lightweight but having a sturdy/solid surface underneath is key! Also, you cannot use this for trading cards. The trading card material is too thick and will jam the press. In order to use trading cards they have to be cut a couple mm's larger than the button or smaller, NOT the full size of the pressing circle area.

Not sure what to think of this machine as of yet
This Vevor Button Maker machine is extremely finicky. I used the machine today to make 12 buttons, and I think I ended up tossing out approximately 6 or 7 buttons that were ruined. I was making the 58mm buttons too. The instructions are very simple, so simple that they are not too helpful at all. I had to play around with the two gaskets, noticed that the press part of the machine has too much play where it wiggles just enough to cause the plastic circular top cover to not seat and seal properly. After studying the machine for a bit, and playing with it enough, I was able to somewhat figure out the mechanical process and produce some successful buttons. However, it’s still a hit and miss for me right now. I’ll have to try to make some more buttons tomorrow and see if I can get it to produce good buttons. If not, I’ll return this machine and look for another brand. By the way, if you use your Cricut Maker machine you might want to play around with the Print Then Cut feature. The Cricut Maker Machine is reducing my dimensions and not giving me 58mm circular cuts. That’s another thing that I’ll have to work on. However, I may just skip the Cricut Maker cutting process and just buy a 2 inch circular hole punch. That might be quicker and easier than the Cricut Maker. The other issue is working with the right paper weight, and possibly type of paper too. I tried using regular paper (40 lbs) and that worked okay but I hated the print quality. Then I switched to matte finish photo glossy paper (110 lbs), and although Vevor doesn’t recommend it, it worked okay too, and the quality was pretty good. Again, I’ll play with the machine for a bit more to see if I can get consistency on it. Right now, I’m rating it at 3-stars for the above reasons. 09JUNE2026 UPDATE: After many failed attempts at trying to get the Vevor Button Maker to work, I finally said enough. I don't know what is wrong with the machine really. I can't tell if the machine has too much play on the part that attaches the shell and backing together, or if it is the seals that the machine came with. I could not figure it out. But the problem, in my opinion, is somewhere between those two areas. I even tried different gauges of paper too, and no success. The machine just kept failing to wrap the Mylar plastic and graphic correctly, and build a tight seal with the shell and the backing. I was truly dissapointed, as I was really looking forward to making buttons for family and friends. Because of this, I am downgrading the three-star rating down to a one-star rating, and cautioning folks to buy at your own risk.

Perfect for My Crafting Business! Easy to Use & Great Quality

Worked ok with the metal backing.
Received everything as advertised. Easy to assemble. I setted up the 32mm. I tested out using the white plastic backing first and the "A" did not attach to it. I re-did it again with the same design, new mylar and this time with the metal backing. It worked. I made sure there was no double mylar. I also made sure I used firm pressure to press. Over all its ok. Still a learning curve to make sure the pin backing aligns with the image on the front.

Mid/Okay for price - Fails 1/3 of time - Not professional quality
It's okay, around 1/3 of the time it fails to make the button correctly (the paper and transparent film don't wrap propertly) and the times it does work itś inconsistent on how good it will be. I will say that if you are a beginner that this COULD still be good for you but if you want to do button making more professionally then don't buy this. I wont be returning because i mostly am using this for only myself and am fine with okayish quality.

Tips for this button maker
This button maker machine is very easy to learn and use. It is sturdy and makes professional looking buttons. It comes with everything you need to make buttons including a book of cartoon designs. Tips: You will need to cut out a 68mm circle of your design but only 58mm of your design will be displayed on top of the button. The rest wraps along the sides. It comes with a 68mm cutter. Make sure you only have one single piece of film for the top of the button. The film sticks together easily. Sometimes static cling will shift your design as you press down on the top piece, so do it slowly checking for that. Press all the way down till you hear a click. Keep the top of your design and the top of the back piece with the pin at the same orientation on both sides. If you hear a crinkle noise, that means the film got bunched up or didn’t attach correctly, so stop immediately, maybe you can save it. Practice till you get it right.

Easy to Use and Great Results!
This button maker exceeded my expectations. Assembly was straightforward, and after making a few practice buttons, the process became quick and easy. I'm a button making machine now..The button maker is sturdy, operates smoothly, and produces consistent, professional-looking buttons every time. Great on camera. The included supplies were a nice bonus and helped me get started right away. I've used it for custom designs, event giveaways, and promotional items, and the results have been excellent. If you're looking for an affordable button making machine for a hobby, business, or creative project, this is a great choice. Reliable, easy to use, and a lot of fun once you get going. Highly recommended!

Works great for me
I got this button press and kit to make some buttons for my daughters school and to make some cosplay buttons. The machine works great! I have probably made 150 buttons and I've only had maybe 5 failures? And they were all user error or not pushing down hard enough *see below I think it's mostly technique that yields good buttons. One important thing to do is to use a good template for your paper graphics, it should be about the same size as the mylar. If you make the paper design too small, it won't fold under the button correctly. I made mine 40mm in diameter for the 32mm button machine and it works great. Tips: Make sure you only use regular photocopy or laser paper. Don't use thicker paper stock. Make sure you only have one clear piece of mylar on top, not two. Static can make them stick together. Press down all the way on the lever, slowly and firmly. Doing it fast yields errors. When I press down on the backing with the safety pin, there's a noticeable point where the press stops, but then you can press it further. Press down ALL THE WAY to ensure a good tight seal. Good luck!

Très sympa
Elle a bien plu à ma fille. Dommage que la notice ne soit pas traduite en français. On s’est tout de même débrouillés.

Button backs don’t fit
I bought my daughter the button maker because she wanted to make buttons but the back doesn’t stay on the buttons so it’s useless , the maker itself seems to work but we can’t know until we can actually make buttons
