I received this tool and am impressed with the quality. I needed it for terminating a room stat in my boiler as the terminals were fiddly and I wasn’t happy about the quality of the terminations I had made with the multi strand wires. I tried a test with a spare cable (1.0mm2) and both types of connection with the setting as supplied which was midpoint. First time use and it worked perfectly, it’s a really solid tool and am very impressed, especially with the ease of use and the comfortable handle. A dial would have been better to set the tension rather than removing a screw but no big deal. The fittings are everything I need and more and will be using whenever I use multi strand wires. It makes for a much better termination. I use just the bare type connectors when fitting more than 1 connector into a terminal and the coloured ones when just a single connector. I can’t see me running out of connectors as I only use it for diy jobs but it is the only kit I’ve seen that has bare connectors along with sheathed connectors. Very pleased with this set!

The beauty about this crimp set is it's versatility, with lots of different size ferrule's to choose from. The pliers are best set to their strongest setting prior to use, as I found them a little weak as the standard setting, but having said that, they do crimp the wires nice and tightly. If you are working on a cars wiring system, the smaller ferrule's are brilliant for keeping the cable ends clean and clamp down really well, ensuring a positive connection. I have recently rewired the kitchen and have replaced a few terminals with the new ferrules, giving electric current the best flow possible. The one caveat is to make sure you crimp the entire bare section, leaving only the insulation showing, this ensures that no naked wire can make contact causing a short. The pliers themselves are well made and very robust, and being adjustable gives one the chance to create a tighter crimp. Longevity wise I cannot see any problems as they are well put together and the material used for the crimping is very hard indeed. Overall, the pliers and ferrules supplied will provide tight, clean ends to any wires within the range specified by the product, and will give good service life. Highly recommended.

I bought this kit for PLC wiring in medical devices and it works great! Great kit with plenty of different size ferrules for tasks needed; The crimper (hex) makes consistent crimps and leaves the terminated end securely terminated. The wire stripper is nice and sharp and ergonomic and makes easy work stripping most types of cable. My only criticism is that the ferrules are said to be of Germany DIN 46228 colour scheme, however, finding replacement sizes can be a little difficult if you want to keep using the same types of ferrule SOMELINE provide in their kits. That being said, perhaps SOMELINE could sell the ferrules they supply in refill packages? ( I havent been able to find these anywhere ) Overall, the kit is great and the tools I have used from SOMELINE in the past and present have been of great quality and I would thoroughly recommend them to anyone needing a cheap yet efficient kit to get the job done.

Great little tool. I have only done around 100 crimps so far, but easy to use and no issues with the crimp profile. Only crimped sizes between 0.5mm and 1.5mm. But so far would recommend for average daily use. Have only given 4 stars as not yet used on larger size ferrules.

Perfect little set of crimps and crimping tool, box is pretty rugged too, great for the price.

I was re-doing my home theater setup and decided, after spending thousands of dollars on the equipment, I should 'grow up' about connections. So I got some good Nakamichi banana plugs and purchased this SOMELINE Ferrule Crimping tool as a splurge. I'd seen some online YouTube videos that used ferrules and a crimper and thought, what the hell, for $30 I'll give it a try. It turned out to be trivial (actually it was even kind of fun) to use and made OUTSTANDING connections. Given that the wires are completely sealed in the ferrules and wire coatings there won't be any oxidation even over the long term. Moreover, I know it's kind of silly, but it gave my system the polished look of a professional installation which I have to admit is both pleasing to the eye and very functional. Is this tool necessary to make good audio connections? No. But it's well worth the cost to make the step up from DYI to professional standards here. One note: I almost gave it 4 stars because it has a lot of ferrule options but not that many of the specific one that I wanted to use for my Nakamichi banana plugs. But, in thinking it over, the fact that it gave me three lengths of the 14 gauge ferrules to choose from should actually be a "+" and not a "-". Given that 1) there were plenty for my project and 2) I couldn't find them anywhere else, this versatility has to fall on the 'pro' side of the pro/con equation.

Tenía que hacer unas cuantas instalaciones en casa de carácter eléctrico sobre todo de enchufes, regletas y demás y siempre andaba detrás de una buena crimpadora a buen precio y la verdad es que no me equivocaba. Compré la versión que crimpa las puntas en hexagonal junto con el pelador/cortador de cables. El estuche que viene es robusto, con buenas terminaciones y muy útil para llevarla de un lado al otro y para almacenaje sin liarla con las puntas. Respecto a las herramientas son robustas, con los mangos en terminación gomosa y antideslizante. El pelador y también tiene la función de cortar cables y la verdad es que funciona excelente, corta y pela los cables de maravilla. Y la crimpadora es estupenda, soporta cables de diámetro desde 24AWG hasta 8AWG con 9 tamaños de virolas además de venir puntas sin camisa de plástico para poder empalmar dos cables diferentes por ejemplo. Cuenta con sistema de presión ajustable. Si estás buscando una crimpadora de calidad, a buen precio, no lo dudes.

Düzenli elektrik bağlantıları için gerekli malzemelerden. Kullanım amacını bilenler için bulunmaz ürünlerden. Bir adet bundan bir adette diğer modelinden aldım. Fiyatı uyguna geldi. Kargo için şöyle söyleyeyim, Çin menşeili ürün İspanya'dan kargolandı, oradan Almanya'ya geçti, sonra Hollanda'ya geçti. Daha sonra İstanbul'a oradanda Mersin'e geldi. Anlayacağınız benden çok gezdi. Ambalaj konusunda ise yine kağıt ambalaj da iki ürün ayrı ayrı geldi. Aynı satıcı farklı günlerde kargoya verdi. İkisini birlikte koli ile gönderebilirdi. Kağıt ambalaj da kırılma ihtimali artıyor. Neyse ki sağlam ulaşmış. Ama böyle ürünlerde gönderirken tedbirli olunması gerekli.
