Virbac Epi-otic Ear Cleaner 125ml for cats & dogs

My two shar pei boys have always suffered with hot, sweaty ears that leads to head shaking and paw digging. Their ear canals are quite narrow and very ridged so quite difficult to clean. We use this liquid soaked on to cotton pads to squeeze in, then rub. This allows us to rub a good amount of the wax and dirt out and the excess liquid squeezed in dissolves some of the deeper in dirt so we can the wipe away easily. We can do all this quite quickly without much fuss which is great for our stress prone shar peis. Great product and repeatedly purchase now.

I've used this on my dog in the USA too but the scent is a bit different. Still it smells good to humans; not sure how dogs feel about it though. My dog's ears are always itchy from severe allergies. So I routinely clean his ears at least once a week. This Virbac Epi-otic Cleaner IS as easy to use as other brands. And to be fair, I could have given "Easy to use" 5 Stars but I hope the company might consider, including a device of some kind, to be able to WARM THE SOLUTION, before instilling it into dogs' ears. If you've ever had your ear canals filled with cool/cold fluid, it's a real shock. Running the entire bottle under hot water may be an option, but since we don't know if this will affect the chemicals, it's a toss-up. My Vet recommends squeezing 2 or 3 squirts directly into the ear canal, rubbing just below the ear, (in line with the dog's eye) then using a cotton ball to extract the remainder of the fluid. He said, this is the only way to get deep wax & dirt loosened. And the dog will shake its head to get the rest of the fluid out. So far, this has worked with this solution. Would buy again; do like the gentle scent.

Our vet actually recommended this product as our dog is prone to wax build up and ear inflammation. Causing him to over shake his head and scratch at his ears. We apply it to a couple of cotton pads, and gently stroke the round his ears, allowing any excess liquid to go into the ear. You can use it directly as an ear cleaner, however we try to avoid squirting it straight into our boys ears as he gets very distressed by it, and shakes his head even more. As well as cleaning his ears nicely, it smells nice too which is a big bonus. It really is good value for money.

Our Rottweiler always gets gunged up ears. A regular clean with this stuff keeps the black stuff away. Should have used it years ago. No more ear syringing.

Pour moi le produit le plus efficace , il suffit d’en mettre un peu dans l’oreille de masser et les saletés se décollent toute seules , attention il vaut mieux le mettre dehors car le chien a tendance à secouer la tête et à tapisser vos mur :( après il vous suffit juste d’essuyer le surplus de produit sur le contour des oreilles

Extremely reliable product for itchy ears have been using for years and furthermore arrived within a day so Shih Tzu with allergies had a more restful sleep after drops and so did I because he could fall asleep without shaking his head all night poor fellow

Im very happy with this product. My cats ears build up wax quickly, so I'm.using this as a preventative hoping it doesnt get worse. The solution has loosed the wax and dries nicely . Her ears aren't wet after use. She's not always happy when I use the solution but my cat knows why I have to :)
