Nice find!
My wife and I often split a can of sardines and a sleeve or crackers as a mid afternoon snack. We had been pretty much stickling to the cheap/common brands mostly until I splurged on a selection from a local Portuguese market. The 7 different cans we purchased there varied from $5 to $8 in price. OUCH! Of those cans ( all very good but different) we liked the El Manar Mediterranean Sardines in Olive oil the best. We found the flesh of these med/large sardines being firm and the oil mild /not overpowering. There was also no fishy after taste as many brands have. (Even some of the better ones) The El Manar brand were notably better than what we had been buying for sure! . The only issue was that they were relatively expensive. Then, on a whim, I did a search here on Amazon for the brand and was amazed to find the exact same product at less than 1/2 price AND with next day delivery. I love shopping at Amazon and this is another reason why.

Daily driver sardines
Excellent sardines and priced accordingly. Upon opening, I encountered tightly packed, medium-sized fish, about 5 to a can. The oil was clear with a beautiful color. No scales and the skin had minimal broken areas. The meat was firm, yet easily split down the middle with a little pressure. Flavor of the fish and the olive oil was perfect. I would definitely buy these again for everyday consumption.

Sardines, beans, and greens!
Hola: I luv, luv, luv the taste and texture of these sardines and ordered a case of 12. I'll continue ordering. I like to use a base of smashed cannelloni beans, or mashed potatoes, then work in a can of these sardines...kind of like ice cream with add-ins. The oil tasted very good and using the oil means I don't have to use any other kind of liquid. I serve open faced style, on really toasted bread, and have also used Ritz butter crackers in lieu of toast. A serving of veggies on the side and tap water to drink. I really savor the flavor...and I'll be buying again! Cuidate, CL

Delicious-Great Value!
I just enjoyed my first serving and they were great. The olive oil was very good and the can was fully packed with well processed fish. Also there was no smoked flavor such as found in many other brands. This is a great product for the money and at age 74, I've tried them all at least once. Also the tin was easy to open with the pull-tab. (don't add salt until you try them first)

They are pretty decent!
I didn't know what to expect from this, but they are pretty good. There is definitely a different taste from the sardines that we are accustomed to in the USA (North America) that are imported from Canada. To me, there is more of a smokey flavor, and the taste of the fish is milder and less, "fishy". Although its packaged in olive oil, you cannot taste any olive flavor, but its still good. There also isn't really a salt issue. My only problem is that its a bit overpriced (from the seller that I chose), because the can is a bit smaller than what we're used to, but I would still buy it again.

Can says virgin olive oil but it could be soybean oil.
I read plenty of very good reviews on these Sardines in Olive Oil. While the cans are nice and stack well, they are just a bit difficult to open, but that is not a real concern. The sardines I received are small, eight to a tin. Most quality tins have 3-4 per. Next, the oil is not good--I pour it out and have never done that before these. Finally, the sardines are a bit mushy with a tolerable, but not good flavor. I'll chug through them with plenty of hot sauce, but certainly would not buy again.

The best canned sardines I've ever had -- seriously!
Without question, the best-tasting sardines I've ever had. A lot for the money. The taste is clean and not fishy, and the extra-virgin olive oil is delicious too. I've ordered these from Kartago America four times in the past couple of months, and each time Kartago ships quickly and well-packaged. Thanks!!!
