Does what is expected
I got these to use with a different brand awning. The S Bilt's brackets were a tad too thin for my liking. I have a full size 8x8 awning but only a stock size rack on my 4runner. I used these with LFD cross bars and there was still room for my rooftop tent. I actually doubled up on them with the OG brackets that were a little longer. With the gusset it didnt quite fit. The downward facing L Bracket is the one that came with the S Bilt awning and it worked perfectly for magnetic lights under the awning at night. My only issue with these brackets is minor and not a big deal, but I had to drill out the slotted holes to fit the bolts from the other brand awning. Seemed strange that a much more heavy duty bracket would have smaller holes that the more flimsy one but it wasn't a big deal and took 5 minutes. When my full rack comes in I might use these to mount traction boards or the shower when the tent isn't on the roof. Overall pleased with the purchase and would buy again. ARB make quality products as a general statement and these are on point as well.

Good mounting plates
These are strong and serve their purpose! High quality steel. The paint coating isn’t as good as i thought it would be, they scratch easy and paint rubs off. For my arb 2500x2500 with malone cross bars.

Sold as each - not pairs
I'm curious how many people assumed these were sold as a pair for the price being charged. I didn't read that they are sold as one bracket only. Now I have to decide if I'm going to put off the installation of my awning by a week while I order and then wait for the second bracket to arrive. Or do I find another way to accomplish the task and send this one bracket back? What is a boy to do? I want the best installation. Call me crazy it just seems reasonable to assume these are sold in pairs. (Shrugging shoulders here) Very tempted to having a local fabrication shop around the corner whip something up that's purpose built instead of this rather pricey universal bracket from ARB.

Does what it says
I was able to mount an ARB 8x8 awning to Thule Wingbars on a 2019 Volkswagen Atlas using (2) ARB 813402 Awning brackets (2) Thule t track accessory kits along with blue loctite and 6x (M6) stainless steel washers, 6x (M6) lock washers and 6x rubber washers (sandwiched between Wingbar and Brackets) purchased at Lowes for around 18 dollars. NOTE* you can just cut the rubber trim in the wingbars track to match the 6 t bolts slotted areas on the brackets to maintain a nice nonslip contact between the rack and BOTTOM of brackets (I used rubber washers to simplify the process) The results were awesome! Very secure (whole vehicle moves when pushed and pulled) thats a good thing. And looks very clean (if that matters to you) Oh and incase you wanted to know the height The ARB will rest at on an Atlas using a thule rook rack and these brackets....its 73- 73in.

Just what I needed
Had to add "U" brackets and worked perfectly. Cheap amazon roof rack and awning. No drilling or cutting. Looks great. The holes on the brackets give you enough opening to adjust the bolts for attaching the awning.

Expensive but worth it to secure your awning
Very pricey brackets but they are the best ones to get for an awning. I’ve had these in the past with other awnings and I’ve had cheaper L brackets. These hold up to the elements much better, won’t bend or move around like some other styles.

My bad, I normally paid attention to this but... Come on guys, who would buy one bracket for a awning?

I’d initially mounted one of these and an L-bracket. The L-bracket rusted/broke causing the awning to fall. BUT this bracket held, preventing the awning from falling off my truck. Bravo!!

I wanted to have custom brackets built...$260 later I refused to pick them up and pay for them. I should have ordered these first, at a fraction of the price.
