French Three Months:: Your Essential Guide to Understanding and Speaking French (Hugo) (DK Hugo in 3 Months Language Learning Courses)

Great book for the traveller wishing to learn or improve I learned to speak very good German using one of their books. And reading is super easy now. Would recommend to all. Five stars from me.

This book is split into twelve weekly lessons starting with a good grounding in pronunciation, the book focuses your mind on what you need to learn teaching only whats really essential. Its well presented in the order you need to progress quickly. It's clear, easy to understand and has some nice parralel text extracts from French literature and modern journals all to enhance your reading practice. If you want more than very basic French, if you want a good understanding well sufficiant to communicate for holiday and business trips then this is the book for you. Practice makes perfect and you get out what you put in so put in the practice and the rewards will be great.

I think it's a good book which is very clear, excellent for revision. I'm not sure if it's classified as a revision book but I think it might be a bit hard if you were a complete beginner. It covers quite a lot of grammar, never quite enough for me but very much better than most. I like the exercises with answers and I feel that I'm getting much better.

I am not a complete beginner but found the first few chapters useful, good exercises and explanation of verbs and adjectives.

It turned out to be a lower level than I wanted, but it's still a useful book.

Clear instructions, helpful examples, useful exercises and answers to check progress. A great book. Not sure a language can be mastered in three months but it's a good start and a useful resource for reinforcement.

This text book is really useful. It obviously takes a lot longer than 3 months to learn French from scratch but Hugo seems to have everything you need to give a good grounding in the language.

One of the best books for learning French. It is very clear, and whatever level of spoeaking, one can pick up the thread easily.

The book seemed completely new and unused in addition it was delivered 3 weeks early from the UK based seller. Great stuff. As for the content, I scanned through and it seems to be in line with Portuguese in Three Months book. That particular book was a great aid in my self tutorials in Portuguese and I expect the same from this French manual.
