I have bought this twice and need another. If you have a nice chime set, this is a must to keep the music playing. Nice quality pieces, easy predrilled holes. They knew what we needed.

This took a bit of effort because it is really a two person job. One to hold while the other threads, however I managed by myself so it can be accomplished. The wood pieces are beautiful and all the necessary pieces are included except the hook to hang the chime but since this was a repair job on an old worn chime I had the hook. I did make one big miscalculation in that it is for a 6 tube and I was repairing a 5 tube J.W. Stannard windchime that cost about $60.00 so I made it work with the 5 wind pipes and no one would notice but me. It sounds lovely again. This is a great kit for a windchime repair.

I found the replacement parts to be very good quality with everything you need. The instructions ,however, were lacking. The included written instructions seem very abbreviated/incomplete. The video instructions on Amazon's site not very helpful. It was too fast and seemed like chopped off too much. I tried looking on YouTube but didn't find anything for this particular kit. I was eventually able to put it together and it looks very nice.

Exactly what I needed in kit to fix my old chime. Easy.

The kit arrived with everything needed to repair a set of up to six chimes. I had replaced the cord on another set of chimes, so I felt I had a good idea of what to do. The kit comes with basic instructions, and refers back to the video posted in the Amazon product description. Even with these, it took me a while to figure what they intended, it wasn’t 100% clear. The kit contained more than enough cord for my needs, and I did not even use the second pack of cord. It also contained a few extra brass tacks. Overall I am satisfied for now. However, I have reservations about the finish (which seems to be more of an interior grade coating), and the material (pine instead of hardwood) for outdoor use in a humid environment. At least I am hanging it in a covered area outdoors. I will update my post in a few months after the product has weathered. Overall, 3 stars for now.

Definitely a good kit that gets the job done! Perfect for repairing busted old wind chimes. Reaming out the pre drilled holes with a 1/16 drill bit is definitely recommended otherwise you are going to have a hard time getting the cord through the holes. Ant frayed cord edges can also be quickly fused together with a lighter. This kit worked so well that I’ll be buying another for my other busted set.

I was trying to reconstruct an old chime which had been inadvertently cut into pieces when tangled with another one. The top piece was in really bad shape. This design is somewhat different and the top piece smaller. It was difficult to rethread but two tools are provided. I drilled the holes a little larger which helped and the picture and instructions were very helpful. Took about a week to get the job done.

Perfect to repair a squirrel/raccoon damaged wind chime. Easy to understand and parts are A+ replacement. Will buy another as I will prolly have to redo in 5 years due to critters. Watch the video and clean the holes with a 1/16th drill bit before starting. Then you won't have to force the needle threader and break it, (good there are 2) :-).

The product is smaller than what I hoped for. It does not have sufficient nails or cord length to repair my wind chime. Maybe it was meant for a small wind chime.
