Just Buy It!
Other than the lengthy waiting period we were super pleased to receive the DNA results for our boy. For 8 years we believed him to be GSD and Lab, turns out sir is Husky and Rottweiler haha! Goes to show you can’t believe everything you read on FB marketplace..😂

Completely Inaccurate and Horrible Support
I ordered this originally because I adopted a cute Terrier mix 6 years ago and just wanted to see what breeds she is mixed with. From others who have seen my dog, they think she is mixed with Terrier, Yorkie, and possibly a bit of Dachshund. I came across this test and since it was from AncestryDNA, I thought it would be accurate. Well... I was competely wrong. After going through the test and sending it off, about a month later, I got the notification that the results were ready. The first display on the dashboard said my dog was half wolf, half Husky lol. I reached out to support by email, as there wasn't a customer support phone number, and that took a few days to get a response. They mentioned some generic email about their tests not being completely accurate and still in early stages, meaning they need more dog DNA to get more accuracy. But a follow up email mentioned the results had been updated. Well... it said my dog was 100% Dachshund. So I continued to reach out to support, thinking maybe the test I sent in was faulty or mixed up. I was hoping I could get a new test, but I was getting responses once a week, which was awful. They also never directly addressed the inaccuracies, circling around potential reasons it shows these results. Logging into the dashboard now, it seems the results have changed again to 62% Dachshund, 38% Chihuahua. TLDR: I would stay away from this test and try a test elsewhere or save your money. I've attached pictures of the current results (3rd time changing), and a photo of my dog for reference.

Fast, Accurate, and Eye-Opening!
We ordered the Ancestry Pet DNA test, and it arrived quickly—great start! The test was super easy to use, and we were thrilled to finally learn more about our dog’s background. When we got our pup, we were told she was a Pomsky (a small dog). Imagine our surprise when the DNA results came back and showed she’s actually 60% Siberian Husky and 20% Samoyed—a mix of two breeds known for being big dogs! No wonder she kept growing and growing. The accuracy of this test is incredible, and it gave us valuable insights into her breed characteristics, which helped us adjust her training and care. It was fun, informative, and totally worth it.

Simple to use.
I wanted to know the breeds of my dogs and these tests were on sale during prime days. I got 2 tests. I got both tests back in less that 6 weeks. One of the results were received the day I had to put my dog down. That was hard. But it was fun looking at the trailer for both of the dogs. I do wish that a test just for breed was offered. I was never interested in all the other results as I did not find them that accurate.

I felt my results were accurate
I was totally skeptical. When i submitted this they want me to make a profile and submit pics and specs on my dog but i left it blank bc i didn’t trust they might use the info to get dog breeds that matched his appearance(I’ve heard people say their results have been way weird like a chihuahua for their German shepherd) but my results seem pretty accurate to what my dog is. I’m impressed i was told by the first owner he was heavy German shepherd and husky and those were both up there! I think this was great

Very fun and worth the money!
My dog is 7 years old and the cutest dog ever. Ever since I got her, I've wondered what the heck she is. I adopted her at a pet store when she was a tiny puppy. She was in a cage with three cute little black lab puppies. But my Sandy girl was different, she looked like a little cowboy corgi or a husky mix. We thought maybe she's a corgsky. Or a husgi. Whatever trendy we're using these days. She was definitely not a lab like the others (even though that's what the adoption lady said). None of it mattered though because she's the BEST. DOG. EVER. And for 7 years, I've CONFIDENTLY told everyone she's a corgi mix. Everyone. (which is a lot of people, she gets a lot of attention because she's so perfect and cute.) I finally decided to pull the trigger on a dog DNA test during the Amazon Day sale to confirm and find out what she's mixed with. It took about 5 weeks to get the test back and I received a few emails giving me updates along the way. The excitement was building each week! Then we got the results. TURNS OUT SHE'S 54% WEENIE DOG. 15% FREAKING CHOW CHOW. 14% HUSKY. 9% DANISH SWEEDISH FARMDOG (didn't even know this breed existed). AND 8% AUSTRALIAN CATTLE DOG. THERE'S NO CORGI IN MY BABYDOG. SHE'S MOSTLY A WEINER DOG! I WAS SHOOK! This little test was so exciting and gave us all such a good laugh. We now know exactly what to tell people that she is and we've been able to research more about her, which is just more confirmation on what a good girl she is. If you have any curiosity about your dog's breed, I highly recommend going for it and doing the testing - and highly recommend Ancestry's Know Your Pet DNA. Very fun experience!
