I have had several different Amazon Fire tablets for my children over the years and they have all been brilliant. Eventually like any tech item they do get outdated after several years and obviously the child proof warranty runs out which all in all means it's time to upgrade. However I am never reluctant to do so as these devices are so reliable and robust. They are hard wearing even for children who tend to throw their toys. And if it some how does get broken, Amazon are so helpful with replacements. This particular model has a lovely new style space case. It's a very cool design. The screen is very vibrant and still 10 inches in size. It's very light and the connection to WiFi is quite a far distance, more than we need for inside my home and out in our garden. Overall, I recommend for anyone trying to choose a tablet for the child.

Absolutely incredible little tablet. I bought this after purchasing a cheaper children's tablet which was shocking. Kept lagging throughout the set up. This one however is INSANE, so good, super fast and the kids apps are so good for our 5 year olds. Holds the battery for ages and the case is a really cute design.

Great tablet for your children, and if you can get it at a discounted price, then it's even better. But let's not speak only about the tablet, let's talk about our children, about the fact that you have control over how they spend their time on it and you can see what they're spending their time on. You get a 1-year free subscription to Amazon Kids+, which is fantastic. You get ad-free content on plenty of apps, which is awesome. I mean, you really don't want your child to get bombarded with ads while he's trying to play something. That is super frustrating for us adults, so it is for the children as well. You get a 2-year warranty, if something goes wrong with the tablet, you are covered. And you get plenty of apps, games, and books, etc., that, to me, look great. I paid £109.99 for all these things. Please take my money! Oh..they already did, keep them!

This tablets great, good battery life, good kids features, the peace of mind to get it repaired/replaced if they break it is also great an the case is sturdy. The parent dashboard is ok, gives you good control, however I have had a few disasters where i accidentally removed a profile completely, trying to remove it from a specific tablet. It's also near impossible to transfer Minecraft worlds between tablets which has been the bane of my life when they've got a new one. You cant access the files on the kids profile (i work in IT and have found it next to impossible) the only way I found is to use a realms paid subscription, which i think is crazy for a game in 2024, how it doesn't allow cloud backup of your worlds is insane. The other thing I wasn't happy was the tablets handling of DNS records, we use CleanBrowsing.org to protect the children and block adult sites, the issue with the tablets is that if it cant find the website it wants on the DNS you specify, it is hardcoded to check googles dns 8.8.8.8 which finds the site and serves it to the tablet. This is a pretty fundamental security risk and amazon told me its a "feature", well it's a feature that's not possible to override or turn off, so it means I cant have the children using the inbuilt web browser. Why they remove DNS control from you, I don't know. It loses a star for the above issues, but other than that it's a great tablet at a competitive price.

Decent first tablet for my daughter, does everything she needs it to do. She can play her games and watch her Netflix and even get onto her school game account too. Very durable and hard-wearing. Definitely worth the buy

Best tablet for kids! I bought an iPad then changed it for this item. Easy to use and good all round.
