ANC Great, Sound Quality Pretty Good, Mic Great
The ANC (noise cancelling) is far better than my over ear AKG N700 NCM2, confirmed by playing drumset sound over speakers. This isn't a huge statement to make, because the AKG's aren't known for having extraordinary ANC - more of a focus on sound quality. But those AKG's are at least okay, much better than my work headset's ANC. I'd put the noise cancelling in these therefore at "great." They aren't *complete* miracle workers... high's still make it through a fair bit. If you have nothing playing and someone is talking, you can hear them. With peaceful piano, they will be muffled. And with epic movie scores, they will definitely be drowned out. You could probably mod these to have deeper ear tips that have noise blocking as well for even more noise isolation. This would create an air pressure however. I'll soon update this review with comparison to air pod pros, which family owns. As an audiophile, I'll say the listening audio isn't studio quality. However, you probably won't notice this unless you're listening to an exceptionally high quality sound production. It's definitely better than gen 1 air pods. It doesn't hold a candle to my $2000 Genelec studio speaker set up, but virtually nothing does, especially in the headphone realm. The sound isn't as full and won't absorb you as much as the previous AKG headphones, but those are over ears and $200+ new. Nor is the sound as good as my wired studio monitors. But... these are $40 earbuds with great ANC. And despite my tastes, I intend to use these for daily casual listening. They are acceptable for an audiophile, which would mean amazing to most people. Mic quality is great, my listener says I am loud and very clear. It's not crisp like I'm a podcast narrator or standing next to them, but it's not muffled and they hear me without trouble. The headphones have a togglable game mode which reduces latency by half. It doesnt affect anything else, so no reason to have it off. Great feature. 2 beeps means on, 3 beeps means off. Comfort is good I'd say! If you need smaller rubber ends, they come with.

Excellent Sound Quality and Comfort for the Price
The QCY HT05 earbuds have pleasantly surprised me. The sound quality is very good for their price, with clear audio and well-balanced bass. They are comfortable to wear even for long periods and fit securely in the ear. The active noise cancellation works effectively in everyday situations, and call quality is solid. Battery life meets expectations, and the overall build feels reliable. For their features and value, I highly recommend them.

AMAZING! Best budget earbuds
Love QCY, have had about 4 pairs of different earbuds from them throughout the past 4 years and the quality keeps on improving every time, in the every aspect. Audio is crystal clear and a decent base Same for volume, but it could be a bit louder but that’s just to my liking, definitely not a deal breaker and also the build quality has kept improving as well as the customizability from the tap controls to being able to set your own EQ settings for different genres The Battery life is freakin amazing Literally lasts all day if they die a 10 min charge gots you back good for a few hours I personally don’t use the ANC (noise cancellation) I like to be aware of my surroundings so I don’t really got much of a say in that but I’m sure it does great. Only 2 things I think could be improved with these are the call quality and the volume but I personally am the type to listen to music in the car with the base so high that my intestines start shaking so I probably wouldn’t take my volume opinion too seriously. The call quality could be a bit better but everyone I ever talked to on the phone says I sound fine, but Overall for the price and quality of what you are getting I would not be disappointed a single bit They are the best, in love with Mine and will continue buying. Literally AirPod Killers, could not believe what you get for the price, they could honestly go for double the price and I would still be happy with my purchase. Much love ppls, hope my review helped!

Respectable volume, tone and features
These QCY HT05 Melobuds stand out for me as having the greatest volume and balanced tone of all the earbuds I’ve owned. With ANC on and listening to music while mowing my lawn they mostly drown out the roar of my lawn mower, and with head room to spare. In quiet space, and at low volume with pass through mode on, the bass and vocals are all there in shimmering dimension as well. The app is simple enough to use; with just a few settings to choose from to dial in your preferred tone or music genre. With that done the ear buds will recall your settings when powered up, as well as the mode you were in when last used. Switching between modes ANC, ANC off, and Pass Through is done with a long hold of about 1.5 seconds between them—a little long delay if you’re accustomed to less as I am. On a more notable downside I often experience a loud squealing type feedback while pressing these bids into my ear, which might due to how I hold them while doing so but as yet haven’t determined avoiding this undesired effect consistently. The fit I have with these is good once their in, they seal well, they’re comfortable and stay put. The battery and charging performance seem as promised. The featureless case is 2”x2”x1.25” with rounded corners so fits comfortably enough in front pants pocket, but no battery life indicator except with light that turns red when power is low. So we’re talking modest size minimalist case. With the exception of a loud annoying squeal I frequently experience when inserting these buds, my HT05 Melobuds by QCY deliver exceptional value, respectable volume and fidelity, an array of EQ presets through the app, audio features as ANC and pass through that really work, and excellent call clarity. These buds are a solid five out of five except for the squeal I mention. No buds should squeal under any circumstance so for this I rate my experience with these a four out of five stars.

Thoughts after 2 years - Very good for price, comfort, and sound quality
- Battery life of earbuds alone lasts about 12 hours with noise canceling on. Haven't counted/tested but full charge for earbuds in a fully charged, plugged in case, from 0% to 100% takes around 10-15 minutes. The battery quality does not seem to have diminished at all after 2 years of frequent use. - Sound quality is very good to me (but I'm not an audiophile). Compared it to some $80 beats earbuds and the sound quality is equal, with the beats earbuds actually sounding a bit worse all around but with a louder bass. The bass on the QCY is good for me, but definitely not the main focus of these earbuds. - These earbuds are super comfortable. Maybe I got lucky and it's just the right shape for my ear, but they are not heavy and make a good seal. Mostly use these at my computer or if I'm going somewhere where I can listen to music while doing stuff. I also find impressive how far the range is on these earbuds- I could walk past/around 2-3 walls/corners at a an estimated 30 feet of walking distance and still have complete full sound from my computer. In my opinion, these earbuds are great all around for price, comfort, and quality. The only minor issue I have with these earbuds is that when I work out, they sometimes can be slippery enough to fall out. But earwax + sweat is probably going to make most earbuds fall out.

Best in this price range?
I pose that question as somebody who doesn't buy many headphones. But given that these have an app that lets you customize your taps, ANC at 3 different levels, passthrough mode, decent sound quality.. I Believe these will be hard to beat at this price Pros -customization in the app -decent sound quality -ANC -Passthrough -cheap Cons -they look and feel cheap, especially the logo looks like it came from the dollar store -the case has no spring tension on the lid, and only a weak magnet -sound quality, might seem contradictory due to it also being in the pros, but the truth is that while the sound quality is acceptable especially given the price and feature set, they are far from premium earbuds -ANC isn't all that strong, though it is noticably quieter -Passthrough is also somewhat weak. It does work and seems clear enough, again given the price point but it's again far from premium I didn't hold some of the cons against it because the reality is I'm reviewing these earbuds as $35 earbuds and I don't expect them to be as good as my pixel bud pros for example. They're great budget headphones and anybody who isn't an tech/audiophile will likely enjoy them. I'll update my review if I feel any of this has changed as I get more use out if them.

Not recommended.
Good product. But charging connectors would often require cleaning, otherwise will remain connected even when I put them in the box. Quite annoying!
