The overall car mount is simple in design and made of a flexible plastic but it fits and works well, holds securely on the dash of my 2017 Porsche Macan. The magnet is strong and holds my iPhone 16 Pro Max securely without sag or falling off. Overall, this is a decent car mount and it is a much safer option for the Macan than the vent mounted options; the vent mounted phone holder caused the air vent to pop out of place in my vehicle.

This mount holds my mid-weight phone without issue. The small steel disk has to be mounted on the OUTSIDE of my case to get enough holding strength from the magnet, but now that it's there, it stays put even with "Spirited" driving. I was able to mount this to the far left corner of my in-dash display. It does block a tiny amount of the screen, but not much - and nothing that I need to see. Running a charging cable to the phone here means you either have to do some work to hide and route it, or you just have it laying over your control buttons on the center console. I chose to route the cord under the small panel on the left side of the console and then up the seam of the SD card slots panel cover. You still see the cord, but it's not as bad. Get a black cord. This model is not mag safe compatible, so you'll need a different magnet for that, or a different case. I wish the logo wasn't printed on the magnet. I hate that. I don't care about your brand - I just want a phone mount. Otherwise, the fit and finish is perfect and the way it clicks over the leather on my dash gives me comfort that it won't ruin it over time. There's really not that much pressure anywhere, but it stays perfectly put - so that's perfect. Highly recommended if you're looking for a phone mount that doesn't have your phone down and away from the road. My other mount was a little slicker looking, but I had to look down to see the phone, and that just wouldn't do. I love the placement of the phone with this one.

The MagSafe mount works fantastic, however the piece that holds the mount to the dash tends to pull off when attempting to remove the phone. Aside from that great design that could use a bit of tweaking! *UPDATE: the mount base does not stay attached to the dash anymore, so it is now useless.

Product Pros: It doesn't require any glue, adhesive, suction , etc. to stay 'mounted,' which was my requirement when looking for a phone holder for my 2018 Porsche Macan. I didn't want anything that was going to damage the leather in any way, nor did I want one of those stupid vent mounts (let's face it, phones these days are too heavy to mount to a vent). It swivels and hold position very well; I live where roads are mostly patches and potholes and the mount rarely moves out of the position I put it in. It sits in a great spot so that I can see the road clearly (it doesn't obstruct the view of the road) but also see my screen easily when using GPS. The magnet is STRONG. I use an OhSnap Magnetic Grip on my phone (Samsung S24 Ultra) and that sucker attaches to the phone mount and it isn't going ANYWHERE. In fact, it's so strong that I have to use both hands to remove my phone from the mount, otherwise I end up pulling the mount off. Which is where the con comes in. While it does sit on the edge of the dash and hooks onto the back where the padded edge meets the sturdy dashboard, the mount as a whole pops off the dashboard VERY easily. Which is why I have to use two hands to remove my phone from the mount: one hand to hold the mount onto the dash, the other to twist the phone off the magnet. The other con is that is doesn't feel very well made (aside from that amazing magnet). For the exorbitant price I paid, I expected the magnet mount to actually fit and hold inside the part that mounts to the dash. Spoiler; it does not. Not amount of pushing the two pieces together has ever made it click into place, and the two pieces separate very easily. The part that mounts to the dash very very flimsy; it flexes very easily and, if the two pieces don't separate when i try to pull phone off one-handed, then the whole assembly just pops right off. I worry that eventually the back piece of the mount, which seems to hold most of the weight of the phone, is going to snap off at the crease in the plastic. I feel that for the cost of the mount, it could be better made. There are not a lot of options for phone holders when it comes to Porsches, so it feels a little like a hostage situation; I have to pay their price because they are the only option. It's quite frustrating at times.

This Mount works well and hold the phone in place. The clip is perfectly designed to snap onto the front edge of the dashboard, but…the way the Porsche Macan dashboard is shaped and the clip is designed, the only place this actually fits is directly above the car’s touchscreen. That puts any bigger phone overlapping the screen. The rest of the dash lip (within reach of the driver) is angled, while the clip is straight, so it doesn’t attach anywhere else. Bummer.

Exact fit for my 2016 Porsche Macan. I thought I’d need glue or tape, but the plastic mount clicks right into place and adjusts easily. Tip: start with the back bracket, then snap the front round piece. Mounting in the middle of the dash gives the best view and makes adjustments simple

Holds my phone but it’s loose and won’t tighten more so phone somethings swings/ moves.
