Netter's Concise Orthopaedic Anatomy, Updated Edition (Netter Basic Science)

really good book for junior doctors - has summaries of all major areas, including common approaches, which means I look less like an idiot when I'm scrubbing on a new type of operation. would recommend small format. easy to carry around

I bought this book to brush up on my Orthopaedic Anatomy as a medical student on Orthopaedic rotation. The anatomy is well illustrated and clearly laid out in an easy-to-learn way. I have had Orthopaedic surgeons correct some of the information though, for example names and descriptions of certain fractures. Easy to carry around and use for quick reference. It is my go to book before surgeries so I can survive a grilling in the theatre!

Must have for every Orthopaedic surgeon. Very useful and very handy. Very useful for examinations and for brushing up on anatomy.

Christmas present for son-in-law. He's training to be an osteopath and asked for this so it must be a necessary read.

I recevied it, the cover of the book was very bad, it seems like it was used before, pages inside are ok but the cover !!!! I am really really really disappointed !

Useful book and concise

Though it's costly for such a small book, I find my self referring it repeatedly during my reading. The pictures are small in some places but it's packed with information. The write up is also very well done and relevant.

I am not interested in ortho BUT this is the standard resource used by those medical students who ARE interested in ortho as a career. For a student who has other ambitions ( mine happen to be in pediatrics), this is still useful in better understanding anatomy, radiologic testing, ortho clinical exams, and common ortho problems. It doesn't matter what field of medicine peaks your interest - this book will be critical to proper assessment of musculoskeletal issues. 100% recommendation even if you are interested in something other than ortho.
