Recently had shoulder surgery and my arm is in a sling . Basically one armed right now so trying to button up freshly washed blue jeans has been impossible due to fact that the washing shrinks the waist line and I don't want to re injure my tendons . I bought this stretcher to see if it would help expand my waist band on my jeans and sure enough , it works great . Can fasten my pants with only 1 hand . I wasn't sure how much this would help when I bought it, but it actually works. I was able to add about an inch to the waste of all my jeans. Only bad part is when you wash and dry them you have to do it all over again, but you're not supposed to wash denim jeans very often anyway unless you get something on them.

Works good... no real complaints, but a suggestion. Im fat. I needed both rod extensions. Problem I had was: with both rods installed, the turning of the adjuster, ended up turning the rods in a funny way, Like some of the rods would loosen up, turn, twist etc. It was a bit cumbersome. I took it all back apart, and where each extension screws into the other pieces, i put "LockTite" thread locking glue. Once it dried, I was able to turn the adjuster, without the unrelated extensions spinning or turning in an unpredictable way. If you do this "hack" just be sure not to glue the adjuster rod threads or the product won't work anymore.

This item is fantastic, my husband has rheumotoid arthritis and hasn't been able to button his jeans in over a year. Last week he finally was able to do them by himself. The look on his face was priceless Thank you.....

This merchandise performed as advertised, it is adequately sturdy and optimal in the resizing of average range size trousers.

It seems okay for now, it's a little wobbly because there's only 1 center rod supporting it, but it seems to work. I may've given more or less stars if Amazon had given me a month instead of a week ( approx ) of use before asking for a rating. Because of the short amount of time that I've used it, I really have know idea how it will hold up with repeated use. That's the reason I use the word seems so much.

Works well stretched my denim jeans that appeared to have been misized down one waist size by the manufacturer.

I had a pair of Levi’s that I had bought a couple of years or so ago and only worn a few times as they were a snug fit, and over the last couple of years my body shape had, let us say, changed, so they were now properly too small. I didn’t want to get rid of them because they were expensive and had it suggested to me to stretch them. I was sceptical but thought it was worth a try. After the stretcher arrived I wet the waistband and put the stretcher in, no issues there, and left them overnight. I can’t believe how well it worked. Only time will tell if they shrink again when washed, but I can always stretch them again. I would definitely recommend this.

I tried this by just spraying the items i wanted to stretch but didn't get much of a result. I then washed them in cold water and tried again and definitely saw results. The instructions aren't clear enough and putting the pieces together or knowing which way to wind to expand is more trial and error. But i at least achieved some results.
