James Madison Critical Thinking Course: Answer Guide Teacher's Manual Book - Captivating Crime-Related Scenarios (Teacher's Edition) [William O'Meara, Ph.D, Daniel Flage, Ph.D] on desertcart.com. *FREE* shipping on qualifying offers. James Madison Critical Thinking Course: Answer Guide Teacher's Manual Book - Captivating Crime-Related Scenarios (Teacher's Edition) Review: Great Companion Guide for Teaching Critical Thinking - This answer guide is well made and feels like a quality educational resource. The book itself is sturdy, with thick pages and a professional layout. It pairs well with the James Madison Critical Thinking Course and clearly walks through the reasoning behind the answers, not just the final conclusions. I appreciate how it supports discussion and deeper thinking rather than simple memorization, which makes it useful for guided learning, co-ops, or classrooms. My kids still found it engaging, and it worked well even for slightly older students than I originally planned. Overall, it does exactly what it’s meant to do and feels like a solid companion for anyone using the James Madison Critical Thinking curriculum. Review: Good price and product. - Love this book. I’ve taught this to my kids and the teacher’s key is so helpful.

Hard. Lots of logic with mathmatical variables like "not p"
I think it's correct for the grades 8-12+. I thought it would be something my advanced 6th grader could do, but I'd have to walk her through so much together and I still think she'd not quite grasp the mathematical variable usage in it. At least not well. I'm going to wait a bit before using it on her. Meanwhile, I'm going to try to do at least some of these problems myself. The Answer Key I suspect will really come in handy. I wish the examples used would involve more real world learning. For example, the Critical Thinking Company has some social studies material that gets you to use primary texts and do critical thinking on them including fallacies etc. Right now, it's got pretty generic materialthat you're not going to remember. If it were real examples, then I think you'd retain the info better like "The Supreme Court case X is a great example of this type of Y thinking. They do have something on Supreme Court cases and ethics, so that's why I used it as an example of what they could do. Since I haven't started it yet, it's hard to say whether or not I'd find it useful info. I instead picked up the Basics of Critical Thinking book grades 4-9 to work on with my daughter now. That book also doesn't have memorable examples, either, but I think it will really teach how to evaluate evidence and reach the best conclusions.

Misleading title
the title is misleading. It says Instruction/Answer key. To me that means it has instructional exercises and also the answer key included. I wasted money because I now to have to purchase the actual book with the exercises. This book should be titled "answer key ONLY, no exercises included"

It’s great detective work but as a mom
Unless your child wants to be an investigator for the LAPD, it might get repetitive. Every question is from the LAPD. It’s great detective work but as a mom, I’d like to see other scenarios that don’t involve the police.

Critical Thinking Answer Guide - Key-Only for Advanced Levels
This book provides only answers, no questions or instructions—requires the separate student edition. Geared for grades 8-12, higher than my elementary needs, limiting usefulness in my classroom.
