After upgrading my gaming rig with a 12700k, I realized I could have gotten this for fifty bucks less, which performs a little better. So, bought one for my other build upgrade. It runs all of my video editing software well (Resolve, Premiere, and Camtasia) and even though it's no i9 with hyperthreading, encoding is pretty dang snappy compared to the 8th Gen I had before. Also, my twenty five dollar Hyper 212 cooler/fan keeps the temps nice and low. Lastly, at around two hundred dollars, it is a way better deal than what AMD has to offer for the same price. Coming from a i5-12400 was a huge performance increase especially gaming. I have an Aorus Elite AX z790 MB with 32gb DDR5 7600 ram and the combo is great. However, this CPU will get hot, very hot if overclocked and PL1/2 settings are high. I have an arctic freezer iii 420mm AIO and this CPU just multiplier overclocked with no core voltage increase will overrun my chiller to thermal throttling when stress testing! I found this out testing and didn’t realize the PL1/2 settings had gotten set by the bios to 300w limit and boy will this CPU reach up into the high 200s TDP if left unlimited! However with reasonable limits and small overclock the CPU actually runs relatively cool and reasonable power consumption even when gaming. I have this combined with an Asus RTX 5070 Ti OC and I can get 150+ FPS in 4k with DLSS and ray tracing in Cyberpunk 2077. The CPU does not bottleneck anything for any gaming I have done on my 4k monitor or on my QHD Ultrawide 49” OLED monitor.

Came from Ryzen to this, huge upgrade over a Ryzen 7 5800X. Paired with a 9070xt this thing runs 1440 easily.

Buen procesador, lo pedí para actualizar mi i5 12400F. Tiene temperaturas más altas, pero el rendimiento es cercano al promedio en pruebas de estrés como Cinebench r24. La caja solo incluye el procesador, lo uso con una líquida AIO de 240mm

Très bon processeur pour du gaming. Une fois débloqué sur une bonne carte mère, il monte facilement en fréquence, couplé à un bon ventirad.

I was previously running a Core i3-14100, which didn't quite cut it for my server needs. So, I upgraded to this Core i5-14600K, and what a difference it's made! Firstly, the power when needed is incredible - this CPU is a beast when you put it under load. I've got some demanding applications running on my server, and this chip just cruises through them with ease. The 3.50 GHz clock speed is more than sufficient for most tasks, and the performance boost has been noticeable. What I was worried about initially was the power consumption, but surprisingly, it's not as bad as I thought. The CPU idles at a very low 40W or so, which is great for keeping my server's energy bills in check. And when under load, it does indeed spike up to around 200W, but that's still not terrible considering the performance you get. Overall, I'd say this Core i5-14600K has been a fantastic upgrade for me - it's given my server a much-needed boost and hasn't increased power consumption too much. If you're in the market for a powerful CPU that can handle demanding tasks with ease, I'd definitely recommend giving this one a look.
