“Reliable and Effective Mulch: Strulch Mineralised Straw Review”
I’ve been using Strulch Mineralised Straw Mulch for a couple of seasons now, and I can honestly say it’s a great product. It provides excellent coverage for my garden beds, helping to retain moisture and keep weeds at bay. Over the seasons, I’ve seen how well it holds up, breaking down slowly and enriching the soil. As for snails and slugs, I haven’t noticed much difference in their activity, so it doesn’t seem to be a major deterrent for them. Overall, I’m really happy with how it works as a mulch, and it’s definitely become a staple in my gardening routine

Good size, good quality
Very good quality mulch in a manageable size, easy to lift. Waiting to apply it over winter.

Good product
Good product, spreads well and has a nice farmy smell to it. The slugs in my garden are bomb proof and don’t seem to mind slithering over this stuff, but as a mulch it’s good and keeps the soil nicely moist underneath.

Elegant neat anti frost tip
First time use, smells and feels great, fits easily around outdoor plants in their pots. Really pleased with effect, prefer it to the bark as it'll break down more readily and feed the plants

Ideal for any soil or anyone to use.
Not too heavy to Move. Not an unpleasant smell. Easy to handle, though i did wear some rubber gloves as had been weeding and there are cats in the Neighbourhood ! Spread nicely by hand as not a very wide strip of garden. I had planted some Hosta a little while back and they were suffering a little. I can't wait to see the improvement when the slugs and snails go elsewhere for there grub ! Not unattractive when laid either. Went a fair way too. still have some left over to put round my vegetables, this evening.

Excellent
I used this last year in my veg garden. It stopped the neighbourhood cats from their favourite pastime of assuming my veg beds are litter boxes! They don't like the smell of it and stay away. I had virtually zero losses from slugs wherever I put the Strulch, too. It is an excellent repellant. Slow-worms seem to love hiding in it too, which is a huge bonus. And what's more it feeds the soil as it breaks down too. It's February now, and there is still plenty of strulch left where I put it last March. I reckon I'll get another year out of it. I bought more this year to do the beds I didn't do last year. It's a bit pricey but it is worth every penny, just for the level of slug protection alone.

Good…
I have bought quite a few bags of this stuff and used at mulch in autumn 2021.. it’s lovely stuff and I did love it… I applied a very very heavy layer of it to my flower beds and am very disappointed to find that weeds are still managing to go through it. So now I will need to try something else. Also very heavy thick layers are needed as it can get blown about quite easily by the wind.
