This has been a life saver!! My fitted gas cooker just stopped working and couldn’t afford to fix it so this was a must. It works brilliantly. Please read the instructions first though. I’ve read so many reviews saying it started smoking when first tried to use. You have to put it on first with nothing on it for several minutes for it to burn off what it needs to. Fantastic product.

My hob stopped working on my cooker. This replaced my cooking needs until my new cooker hob was fitted. I cooked my meals on this for 2 weeks. Ideal for the job. Perfect for a person who does not have a cooker hob. Heat controls are good. Wipe over with a damp cloth when cold. You could unplug and put it away when finished with.

Was initially contemplating whether to buy it because it only had 2 reviews (one of which said it came damaged), but I decided to go ahead and I’m glad I did because it works great! Heats up really well so cooking time is pretty much the same with my induction hob that got spoilt. Can use both plates at the same time (even though I noticed the speed was slower when using both). Came with the stain shown in the pictures but that was no problem for me especially since it works soo well! I had bought another plate and it was soooo slow, but everything worked out well with this one. Do read the instructions manual on first-time use and everything else too, so the initial smoke and smell does not alarm you. I’ve only had it for two days so this is all I can say so far, but I sure hope it keeps working well!

Worked only once. First time I used it it seemed fine, the second time I used it, it didn't get hot enough to boil wter. It's ok for a warming plate but absolutely useless for cooking.

I like it. It's early days but it all seems to be running fine. Importantly there are no numbes on the actual nobs so they can't wear off. There's a dial. Beware though as it's quite long. I thought I'd sit it on my microwave but it's too big for that. I'd defo recommend it.

I think this hob is either my fourth or fifth in recent years, the others not lasting much more than six months. So far I am pleased with it, although when both hotplates are turned to maximum heat the water only just seems to boil. It is enough for my purposes, although taking longer to bring water to the boil will cost more. I just don't think British firms have any idea how to make hobs with hotplates. I wonder if Bosch makes them. Made properly, with decent components made to proper specs., these hotplates should last for years and years. It's not surprising the landfill sites are filling up at a rate of knots. Update - so far going well, except for occasional worrying bangs when pans of water are heating up. Two stars was probably being mean, but because of constant bad experience with other hobs I am living on tenterhooks. Update - this hob is definitely underpowered with both plates. This is reflected in other reviews. Avoid this hob.
