its fantastic. Turn off turbo boost and turbo boost 3.0 if you are overheating. Since the CPU is already very powerful Frame Rates will stay consistent.

This a great processor! Turbo boost and Turbo boost 3.0 needs to be disabled otherwise you get extremely high temperatures whilst gaming.

Very fast but runs hot. I underclocked mine and it brought the temperatures down and now runs very well.

the most rubish cpu i buy ever. witth noctua nh-u12a in ets2 is go to 90 degrees? amd ddr4 is the best.

OK hands down this is the fastest single core CPU on the market. It makes it awesome for games, and with 32 logical CPUs it's also pretty good in its parallelisation. However it's not without issues. The first one had to go back because it had a memory controller issue; effectively the silicon on the bit of the chip which controls the memory was a bit poorly "doped". Seems that it slipped through the Quality Control and made it through to retail. Intel were great in helping out and got the retailer to replace. But something that shouldn't have happened in the first place. The next chip was going for 14 months. And then something "popped". It just shut down whilst compiling shaders for a game (FarCry 5), the first time it was ran. Now it won't overclock past 6.1GHz. This is really, really odd - but turns out I'm in a community of many who've had similar issues. So I think overall it's superlatively fast; but maybe this comes at the price of being less reliable.

Was cautious buying this as I knew I could only fit a 240mm AIO in the PC this went into. I have found that the CPU idles around 38° and under benchmarks and very “cpu-heavy” games, it averages around 70°. It does drop into the higher 60s sometimes, and higher 70s. I do have good airflow through the case though.

An sich ein super Prozessor, der relativ schnell läuft. Der Nachteil: Er wird sehr schnell heiß und hat Temperatursprünge, die direkt auf 80 °C gehen können. Man braucht unbedingt eine richtig gute AIO – minimum 360 mm, besser noch stärker. Ich habe sie leicht übertaktet und leicht undervoltet, seitdem läuft sie am stabilsten und die Temperaturen bleiben besser im Rahmen. Ab Werk ist die CPU sehr aggressiv eingestellt. Der Hersteller sagt, 100 °C seien kein Problem – ich achte trotzdem darauf, sie möglichst unter 80 °C zu halten. Beim Spielen (z. B. bei mesh-lastigen Titeln) kann sie kurzzeitig auf 85-95 °C gehen. Deshalb klar: Nur mit einer starken AIO empfehlenswert.

Ho preso questo processore sostanzialmente per un upgrade di gen hardware. Era da 4 anni che ero su un sistema con i7-10700k, z590 e 36Gb di ram ddr4 3600Mhz. Arrivato con un giorno di anticipo con spedizione proveniente da madrid (3 giorni lavorativi, servizio amazon impeccabile). L’ho abbinato con una z790 e 64Gb ddr5 6000Mhz. Consiglio vivamente di comprare anche la cornice di alluminio per una migliore dissipazione del calore (ho guadagnato 5/6 gradi in meno) Tutte le voci che rivelano il troppo consumo di questo processore sono esagerate a mio avviso. Usando il pc normalmente con diverse app aperte sta sui 40/50w e a 30 gradi circa (ho un dissipatore a liquido da 280mm). Devo provare ancora a fare rendering o stressarlo in generale ma garantisco che anche senza overcloccarlo gira perfettamente. Comprato a €460 in sconto ne vale veramente la pena, attendete che si abbassi di prezzo e avrete il top intel spendendo anche poco
