To make the machine even better- here are my suggestions: (1) it is not a good idea to have the little information sticker for serial number, type etc. on the bottom of such a machine. Better place would be behind the water tank for example. One needs this for registration. User, please take a photo of the sticker before you do anything else with the machine. (2) More importantly, De Longhi could have a "unique selling point (USP)" if they manage to design the machine in such a way, that filling in the beans is not from the very top. Usually, in all kitchens there is the space above very limited. Even this is one of the smaller machines it is tight on the top. Everytime I refill coffee beans I need to pull the machine out (to the very front) as above are the hanging cupboards. The way out is either to design the bean container to the front similar to the water tank or make the sliding out very easy. Because of the rubber feet it is not that easy, a sliding mechanism with a break would be clever, but even more clever would be the bean refill also on the front. As I like Italy and DeLonghi I still give 5 stars, but hope the engineers of DeLonghi will spot the chance for a USP. Before I forget, cleaning is very easy. The coffee taste and temperature is great. I'm unsure why some people spent over £1000, I like the Magnifica Start! After just about 5 months. I contacted the delonghi support team via phone and after troubleshooting together, they confirmed the machine needs to be sent in for repair. Needless to say that giving up your fairly new coffee machine that cost a good amount of money for up to 20 business days (according to them) is not exactly thrilling. What is even less thrilling though is that I haven’t heard back from the support team for almost 10 days now after providing them with the initial requested information, despite following up a few times.
