What is the diameter of this filter?

15cm diameter. It required a little effort to make it fit. It was slightly too big, so one edge stood up. I squeezed this back in, followed by the resulting bumps until it was level. The plastic lid went back on more tightly. Works perfectly.

Does it fit the vcmc17

Not sure, but i think not. I have model vcmc12 and its really bigger by few mil.
