Quick Fix for an overflowing cistern at a good price.
The cup washers eventually tear and let water pass so the cistern overflows. I was not sure if this was the case or whether there was another fault with the Geberit 580 filling unit. I bought the complete unit and the replacement valve. I fitted the new complete Geberit filling unit, then cleaned and refurbished the old unit with the new cup washer assembly. I now have a spare. I am not 100% convinced they are genuine Geberit replacements or Chinese copies, but they work.

Unsere Toilettenspülung hat begonnen, und dicht zu werden. Kostenpunkt des ortsansässigen Handwerkers mit Terminvereinbarung in frühestens 14 Tagen mit Austausch des kompletten Geberit Spüleinsatzes: 185 € Handwerker meint: Ersatzteile für das Geberit System gebe es nicht. Er bekomme sowas nicht her. In den aller allermeisten Fällen ist bei Undichtigkeit im Zulauf genau diese kleine Silikonmembran gerissen. (Eine Alternative wäre noch, dass die Bodendichtung des Spülglocke undicht oder verschmutzt ist, dann lauft natürlich auch immer Wasser nach.) Warum also den kompletten Krempel ausbauen und dann wegwerfen? Diese chinesische Lösung half perfekt. Alles ist jetzt wieder dicht. Mann/Frau muss natürlich handwerkliches Geschick haben. Wer das mit der Wasserinstallation nicht drauf hat und am Ende die Wohnung unter Wasser setzt, hat einen größeren Schaden angerichtet. Dann besser einen Handwerker rufen!
