This is the cutest little drum. I love the fact that it is clear in color. It was packaged well no scratches on this one. A nice size great build and a good price. This drum is so much fun to play. Arrived quickly. I do recommend this drum.

The packaging was really well done which I appreciated. The durbaka arrived in a cloth bag and placed inside the padded case. It was then placed in not one but three boxes ! As for the bag, it offers padding and seems to be of decent quality. As for the actual drum I was pleasantly surprised. The body is polycarbonate and sturdyif it does get a scratch I think buffing it out should be simple. The weight of the drum is not to heavy or light and sits comfortably when playing from a side position. BUT, the real question is how does it sound ?? This thing sounds fantastic ! The bass has a good resonance and the pops are sharp and clear. Would I use this instrument for a stage performance ? Yes, I would !

I have played many doumbeks all over the US and in a few middle east countries, and I have to say, I'm amazed at the quality of this drum. The sound is sharp yet full, and it's substantial - much more so than its acrylic appearance makes it seem. I love it.

I am very disappointed in the sound quality and bought this based off the reviews I read. I wouldnt even recommend it for beginners because they are going to have to exert too much effort to get sound. If you are looking for sound quality, dont get this. There are far more doumbeks you can get that are much higher quality for a little more money.

Writing this review after I gifted this drum to a friend of mine. Overall this drum did not do it for me, but this has more to do with personal preference I believe. The plastic body does not have the resonance and pinging sustain as you would expect from a traditional Darbuka / Doumbek / Tublah. For those who really want this spicy resonance that is a key aspect of this drum in a traditional sense, you will find yourself disappointed with the sound as I was. This simply seems to be a case of the materials that this is made from will not be able to have the sound that is traditionally desirable. Based on this I would give this three stars and I have given away my wambooka to a friend. But he seems to love it. First off there might be a way to enjoy a less present and resonant darbuka in certain styles and ensembles. The drum sounds more neutral and less spicy per se. So it’s possible that others may simply find the sound to be ideal for their means and ears. Also the instrument is of great quality and comes as a full kit with a bag. For this price it’s a deal for sure provided you realize that it won’t have the resonance of a traditionally made instrument. Its durability and quality of materials seem like it will last a long time. Overall I have to give it four stars. I dislike it due to personal preference. Also do realize that the videos you see of this online will not convey the true sound of the instrument. You simply can’t hear the nuance of the sound through the internet. If you know what you are getting and a more neutral sounding drum is what you prefer then this will be a good deal for you. If you can only tolerate a traditional doumbek sound, then this will not be able to provide that for you.

With this one, the Quality is amazing, very well packaged arrived safe. So thank you for caring about this. Shipping an instrument like this is really important. It was placed in the travel bag, covered with cloth wrapping, and was in 3 cardboard boxes!!! Love that. In the past I ordered multiple different brands “not this one” of Arabic Darbukas on Amazon, ended up returning them due to quality This drum itself sounds fantastic. The bag is VERY durable and high quality. I will not recommend to put water in it since you don’t want the screws to get rusty.the clear design is very unique and beautiful, makes it lighter and more durable.I am very satisfied with this one and will keep it.

The first impression for the sound of this drum was not very nice. It has different sound character from normal metal darbukas and cray darbukas. But I tried to think this is a different instrument that can modify sound with water and I eventually I got used to this sound character and now I appreciate it also as a darbuka. This instrument can generate bigger sound when hitting the body than normal darbukas and has more sound variation even without water. Besides, the bag is not very big but protecting the drum enough. Now I am very happy to have this drum.

Unfortunately, the product has a serious issue with the skin.. There is a clear problem in the tuning, and a noticeable " buzzing " sound that affects the quality completely. I even tried changing the skin, but the problem still didn’t improve. Because of this, the instrument is not usable for performance or recording, and it’s better to request a refund.
