I purchased the 2 blade replacement for the Trojan and they worked fine, though I had to reverse the props. These however came in with the correct orientation and snapped right on the front of my Volantex T-28 Trojan. Now, WHY would you use a 3 blade prop instead of a 2 blade? 2 blade props are more efficient at turning available power into thrust. A longer, thinner wing has a higher aspect ratio and is therefore, usually, more efficient in creating lift. A prop is just a two winged device that is connected in the center. To be truthful, a single blade prop is more efficient then 2 blades BUT you have to balance it and put up with the torque going to the motor, Speed and FF modelers have been using them for years. But, a 3 bladed prop has less diameter to get caught in the grass on landing and if it comes down when two blades are down, it can share the load. Granted the only time I've had a blade break on this plane yet is when I smacked it into a tree. BUT, if you look at my attached picture you'll see only one model of Trojan with a two bladed prop, the silver a model single seater in the lower right corner. All the Trojans that I've seen are two seaters with 3 bladed props and more prevalent the Square tipped ones by Hamilton Standard. So, color of the tips being off it doesn't bother me as much as the two bladed prop which looks more toyish on the shelf. They fly the same, maybe the 2 bladed climbs better, I'm not sure as I have limited flights so far. IF you don't care about the scale aspect, you do get 4 props for the same amount of money as you do for 3 of the 3 bladed props. The choice is up to you. They both work fine. Clean
