It is 28 inches and works in my filter which is 21 years old. If that helps

I have a sw256t. Will this work on there

Does this work with the hayward pro series s210t93s?

The Hayward ProSeries model S210T uses the folding lateral assembly with center pipe # SX210DA if the filter tank was made 1997 or more recently.

will this fit an s244s?

According to the Owners Guide that came with the sand filter when I bought it in 2003 or thereabouts, Yes. It will fitS-210T, S-220T and the S-244T. The bigest paid is removing all the sand and be sure to replace slowly and carefully so as not to damge the laterals.
