Read reviews about many different self tanners and this one seemed to have the best reviews as well as one of the purchased most often. As like many reviews suggested, exfoliating beforehand is important. I bought some exfoliating gloves from EcoTools, which made my skin so soft, I’m already very soft and use quality body cream daily but the exfoliating was nice regardless and I’ll continue to do so. Use a good lotion after the shower/bath and exfoliating, especially if you have dry areas like knees, elbows and heels. I don’t have those issues but I can see why it’d make a difference. Then use gloves, I didn’t even buy the mitt, just used new rubber kitchen dish gloves I had forgotten about. They worked perfectly and also so my hubs could help with the areas I couldn’t reach. Spread evenly and allow to dry. I’m on my second day and I’ve already developed a nice natural color to my skin. Winter causes me to become so pale and I’m going to a nice tropical vacay soon and do not want to be super pale upon arrival, I’m preparing so I can also use a nice bronze body shimmer once I develop a real tan, which I’m prepared with sunscreen with glow as well. Highly highly recommend this product! I’ll be purchasing again and have no complaints at all! No problems with an orangey tint like some self tanners. It literally looks like my skin does after a couple days on the summer pool time. I love it! Oh, and I’m on my second day, showered (did not exfoliate) like normal and did everything else like first day. It didn’t really wash off but slightly lightened when I showered and used my regular loofah. To be expected. Didn’t lighten to the point where the first application was a waste. I still retained most of the color, I knew it was going to take a few days to build the tan level I desire. But this! It’s a big bottle and goes a long way! Just make sure to wear gloves of some type and you’ll need help spreading to the back area you can’t reach unless you can figure out a clever workaround! The pictures are me on vacation in Mexico late Jan this year, coming straight from a cold and winters climate. I don’t believe in laying out and developing a natural tan anymore, mainly due to aging, skin damage, all the obvious negative effects of direct sun exposure and I have little patience as it is. I prepped and built this color a few days prior to leaving and was so overjoyed with the natural results!

I am very happy with this product but you should read details before deciding if it’s right for you. My skin color: fair with warm undertones My skin type: upper body very smooth normal supple. My legs moderately on the dry side, get strawberry effect if not maintained. *I've tried expensive products that had rave reviews and the results were either horrible, not quite as good as this product, or good results but you get a quarter of the amount of product for the same quality. Why I gave this product 5 stars -easily applied with bare hands (wash between each section thoroughly) -drys quickly compared to other products. Absorbs well. -did not streak at all! I applied like I would a moisturizer carefully covering areas completely. -color is exactly what I hoped for. Like suntan shade of nylons on my fair skin with no weird streaks or patches, didn’t settle into pores. -with minimal prep it still worked well! (Keep my skin type in mind, might be different on other skin types) -did not fade off in shower after two applications. -color seemed to develop faster than advertised. Definitely faster than other products I’ve used.I noticed color within about 3 hours then left it on over night. (I’ll time it next time to be more exact) -looks pretty darn natural -did not make my skin dry. Tanners tend to make my legs dryer. This product didn’t have a drying effect. -doesn’t not smell!!!! I don’t smell weird! It has a light fruity fragrance that fades away Other products I’d wake up stinking!! -builds nicely. I like to build color more in some areas than others and had no problem doing so. -color maintained after sweaty gym session in tight gym pants. Good indicator it will fare well for a night out dancing which is what I purchased it for. -a little goes a long way -a lot of bang for your buck

The self-tanning gel itself is fantastic. It applies smoothly, develops into a beautiful, natural-looking glow, and the tan quality is excellent—it worked very well on my first use! However, I ran into a major issue with the included mitt. It tore almost immediately upon first application, which resulted in my hands becoming severely orange-stained. This was highly frustrating and ruined the application process. Since the tanning product is great, I would love to continue using it properly. I am hoping the seller sees this and is willing to send a replacement mitt or kit to remedy the issue caused by the faulty accessory. Otherwise, I highly recommend the gel, but be cautious with the mitt!

I have tried several different self tanners over the years, and this is the best! You don’t need a $40 bottle of self tanner. This item is very cost-effective and does a great job. I particularly like that it does not stink, and it does not rub off on clothing very easily. If you are wearing a light colored pair of denim shorts that are quite fitted in the leg, you may see some of that color underneath the cuff but that’s no big deal. The transfer is minimal on most clothing, and I can live with that for the trade-off that this does a great job of giving you some summer color! You do not need to use very much, as it will spread well over your skin. It does need a few moments to dry.

very subtle and natural results. trust me i’m really pale in real life. got it this past June for a wedding. my daughter was getting married and i wanted to have a sun kissed skin. this product is great, i only applied it once with the cool velvety glove provided. no streaks, no mess, no offensive fragrance. I’m in love with this self tanner. thank you for helping me out with not looking like a ghost that day 👻 edit this glove provided used to come in a hot pink and orange color for those of you wondering and commenting that the glove looks different in the updated amazon pic. see attached photo
