Domke F-34L 19-Inch Protective Wrap -Black

The Domke wrap works great to keep my Olympus OM-1 with 100-400mm lens protected from scratches and minor bumps when I transport it in the trunk of my SUV, or in my carry-on bag. It is not meant to protect against falls or big bumps, but I like the fact that it takes up basically no additional space in my carry-on while keeping it protected from a travel tripod and other equipment. It is very easy to place the camera in the wrap and pull the flap closed, and I keep the strap outside the wrap so I can still carry it easily.

I picked up this wrap to replace my Tenba 16-Inch Wrap for my Panasonic GX8. I wanted to try this wrap because even though I loved the Tenba wraps I heard this Domke wraps were a bit thinner and less bulky when all folded up. This wraps are definitely thinner, but still over the bump and scratch protection that all these different wraps are designed for. The Velcro strip on these wraps are also better in two ways: 1. They are rectangular strips that start from the corner, unlike covering a whole corner like the Tenbas. While that may sound less secure they bite just fine and actually make it easier to open a fold of the wraps making it a bit easier to access what is inside. 2. The type of velcro used is a nicer fine toothed type and feels like it is less likely to do any damage itself to the objects inside. Compared to the Tenba that uses more familiar high toothed velcro I prefer the fine shorter teeth on the Domke. Easy test if to run them on your finger; the domkes got some scratch, but the Tenbas will definitely work better to scratch that itch. Either way these wraps (Domke or Tenba) will not provide much in the drop protection department, they are deinitely equal in the scratch protection department. Both fully cover my GX8 with 12-35 lens attached without issue and look to have a little room to spare. In the bump department, the Tenbas definitely win providing a little more padding and dead space to soak up the impacts from other items in a bag or backpack, but I honestly think most people would sacrifice that for the more compact item after they have been wrapped. Another definitely plus is the COLORS! While at first that might seem gimmicky, it makes a world of a difference opening a top loading backpack that feels like a black hole and seeing a feint blue object inside. I can only image how much easier it would be to find what I need if I used YELLOW (which I definitely want to pick up soon). While the Tenbas come in multiple colors, they are more earthy and toned down. Overall I'm happy I made the switch. I may still use the Tenba smaller wraps for more delicate items in my backpack- like lens since they provide just that much more padding, but the Domke Wrap has definitely found it's permanent home protecting my GX8 whenever I am not using a "Camera" bag.

I bought these to protect my underwater strobes when traveling. They won’t protect strobes or a lens from a 20 foot drop, but they are effective at adding protection in a carry on or checked luggage. It’s been a worthy investment.

I thought I'd try one of these out for a Pentax 6x7 lens which is rather a monster in size and am very satisfied I did. Since that purchase, I've purchased several more for other lenses. These are flat sheets of very soft material with Velcro closures. You roll up round items in them, and then fold over the ends for a secure and complete enclosure around your item. They are padded and provide dust and minor impact protection quite well. They are also attractive and different sizes are color coded so you can identify what is what easily. Made to last, they are a good investment if they suit your needs.

the wrap provides an ideal amount of protection for equipment when cut to fit foam it not practical. The only oddity in the design is the velcro tabs on all four sides. Only three are ever used in wrapping an item. I use them to wrap my drone and smart controller so they can be placed in a standard open camera bag.

I need something to wrap my nikon D500 with before placing it into my Filson Photographer's Backpack. The 15inch wraps around it nicely. The quality of the wrap is better than expected. The material is nice and the stitching is done well. The padding is very minimal (similar in thickness to a bath towel). I would not expect much drop protection from this wrap, but it will do a great job of preventing scuffs during entry and removal in my bag. I briefly ran the cloth under a faucet to test water resistance. The outer layer absorbs water, but it did not soak through to the inside as long as I wiped the water off quickly. I did not allow the water to sit long term to determine how much time it would take to soak through. Obviously, this folded pouch is not going to protect against water if it is submerged. However, I would describe this as more than adequately water resistant for drink spills, splashes, etc. The color is as expected. LOVE this product. I bought this size specifically for my Hasselblad vintage film magazines and they fit perfectly. Quality materials, and provide the protection I need. Big fan of the company's products and own many.

One of my favorite camera accessories. Protects gear well and makes it easy to throw said protected gear into non-camera bags without major worry. These domke wraps are multipurpose and I keep buying more and more to add to my collection. The padding is thick enough to protect glass, and small enough to not be super bulky. Truly love these wraps.

保護力と包み方が楽でいい感じ。しかし、厚いので、カバンの中では少々かさばります。保護する為には仕方無いですけどね。 当方は、カバンの中での、カメラケースの様にして使ってます。

I use this to wrap my camera when I travel with it. I use a standard backpack so this gives me added protection. I used it while I was travelling and had no issues. It’s good to have because it’s very versatile so I could use it for my camera on the go and can potentially use it for my other gear if necessary. If you’re buying this, I would figure out what you plan on using it for first. It’s a great product.

Molto grande per la mia Olympus. Non sono riuscita a capire dalle indicazioni inserite nella scheda la dimensione corretta da acquistare. Atenzione quindi a questo. Per il resto è un ottimo prodotto. Robusto, il velcro tiene bene.
