This was a great purchase for our Hyundai Palisade. You are still able to open the hatch with the storage bag in the rack. The ability to fold it up with ease and remove it off the vehicle by yourself is a huge plus. Really pleased with how well it held up. A little assembly is required, nothing too complicated. I like the fact that it can be broken back down for easy storage. The bag that comes with it is really durable and held up well on a 12hr trip through snow storm and road salt. It is definitely stiff, and you’ll need an extra pair of hands to zip it up. The zipper is good and protected from the elements. I was able to fit 2 medium size and 4 carry on luggage suitcases with room on top for some flatter bags. Very happy with this purchase.

We use it to carry larger items (griddle, camp chairs, etc.) with our Class B van. With the included attachment, it doesn't bounce around while driving and carries all we need. The rack folds up out of the way when not being used. The only real negative for us is that the bar that mounts into the tow hitch is a few inches longer than we would like.

Worked great . Freed up a lot of space inside for a 14hr trip with 2 kids. Was easy to put together. Only issue was i thought it was coming with a lockable pin and it just had the generic pin.

So I bought this carrier knowing I was about to make the trip of a lifetime from Anchorage, Alaska to San Antonio, Texas. Wanting something waterproof was key and this carrier didn’t disappoint. I used 4 totes inside the carrier bag and fit perfectly. Everything arrived dry which made me very happy since most was tools. THIS IS THE ONLY DOWNSIDE TO THIS CARRIER. WHEN LOADED BE SURE TO MAKE EVEN WEIGHT SIDE TO SIDE. As this carrier has a center rail/support, that ultimately is the other end of the hitch. The problem we had along the way was the carrier bouncing like a seesaw, side to side up and down. We stopped and added 2 more straps from the carrier to the hitch to alleviate some of the bounce. The carrier has a piece of 2” square tubing to support the carrier but it doesn’t go to either side like a cross for instance, leaving it bounce like a seesaw. One 2” piece of square tubing with 4 holes drilled at 1/2” for the bolts to go through, keep in mind the tubing is 2” and you remove half of that for the bolts to go through. It makes it hard to tighten all 4 bolts as they almost touch each other, but these have to be tight as possible. Overall I gave it a 5 star anyway. I was very happy it made the trip.

Overall the entire setup works well. Rack had some paint chips and scratches but not bad. Pretty upset the zipper broke on the waterproof bag the first use. Other than than pretty good product.
