Rit 88160 8 Oz Tan Liquid Dye

I dyed a natural linen. I needed a light shade so it was not in the dye for long. The color came out a peach shade, which worked in my favor. But may not for others.

Didn’t work wonderful but it wasn’t bad. The color fades over time though. Super easy to use if you want short term color

Once I learned a few tricks the color is not splotchy. Always prepare the water by mixing salt with the dye. Always get the garment completely wet before putting it in the washer (I run it through a rinse cycle). I run the washer for more than one cycle to deepen the color. I usually need twice the recommended amount of dye.

When you choose this color Tan, it's a gold tan, not a beige or taupe or subtle shade. I had to go through two more phases ; buy the RIT dye stripper (to take this color out), then I purchased Taupe, which turned out lovely. All this on a favorite linen blouse. The blouse is well made, so it was worth it! Just beware when choosing the color

I was hesitant at first to dye my white lace curtains but I did it anyway and the result was wonderful. They came out a beautiful beige which now match my comforter cover.

Zero stars. Wasn’t even tan dye, I don’t know what was in the bottle but it definitely wasn’t dye. It was a grey watery liquid. Very dissatisfied. Lost product because of it.

The color was darker than what was shown.
