INSTRUCTIONS for writing on the retractable note: unscrew and remove the front of the barrel to access internal parts, pull the "note module" out of the pen's barrel to add your notes and illustrations, put back the note module back into the barrel, turn the end piece with a latch counter-clockwise 5-6 times to engage the inner coil-spring, slide the end piece into the barrel by aligning the latch.
