A Diamond in the Rough
I decided to give this cheap Chinese inverter a shot, and did not have very high expectations given the low price. In fact, I figured I'd probably end up blowing it up with the loads I would try to run on it. At first I just plugged it into the cigarette lighter and it had the ability to run a soldering iron or a heat gun.. or a small compressor, if it was started from an empty tank (no pressure) but it would fault out around 35 psi and give up. At that time I used it mainly for fast charging via 120v for my phone, laptop as well as other miscellaneous USB charging (USB power is available even when unit is off so long as connected to 12v power) Then a buddy showed me his little 500w inverter, and it powered all kinds of power tools and his compressor.. I couldn't believe it.. I wondered why this unit wasn't able to handle such a load.. I then began to experiment. Hooking the inverter directly to the battery with beefier Guage cables, I tried running the same equipment as he did.. and it worked without issue. With the vehicle running it powers Angle grinders, Med compressor, even a Sewer Snake (Ridgid K-7500 and General Speedrooter Model 90) It's seriously impressive and far surpassed my expectations, and comes in handy when off roading. I've had the first one for about 3½-4 months and it's still going strong, so I bought another for my service truck. It's only been about 2 weeks, but it's kicking some serious @$$. I'm very happy with this unit. Even if it burns out tomorrow, I'd feel like I got my money's worth and I'd probably buy 3 more. I would definitely recommend you give this little guy a shot. It puts my old $400 3500w inverter to shame, and it's only 1/3 the size!

So far, all good!
I received it on time, packed very well, plugged it in, it worked great in all the ports. A little noisy, but that is fairly normal, they have to cool. I have used it to charge my phone , run a small fridge cooler in my truck, and used it for a plug -in 14 inch oscillating fan when working outside in the heat. Came in very handy! So far, all good.

Works for the tailgate
PLEASE understand and read about these things before you purchase one. There are different types that do different things. It doesn't just magically solve all your power needs. Once you figure that stuff out, you will then know what this can and cannot power. I purchased this because I do a lot of tailgating and like to power my crockpot with my world famous chili! It's got more than enough power to get that baby nice and piping hot. Again, read up on inverters and find out the differences. This is a MODIFIED sine wave. Which means it only works for certain types of things. ENJOY!

Voltage Range
I bought this to use on a mini-solar generator rig. It's a nice design, compact, light weight, the fan is a little noisy but for my intended use was a non-issue. The problem I have with these units is inconsistent voltage. I have a pair of 128AH 12v deep cycle batteries run in parallel being charged by 2 (100w) solar panels. When I'm not using the generator for mobile power jobs, it sits and I have a set of smart chargers on each inverter to charge the 12v batteries in my toys (pair of jetski's & a RZR). Most of the time the chargers are in maintenance so there is little to no load on the rig. However, depending on the state of the 12v supply to the inverters, depends on how much voltage you get on the other side. If my batteries are at 11.5v, I get about 115v off the inverter. If they batteries are at 13.6v, I get 130v out of the inverter. Any electrical device that has an "over/under volt protection" built into it will reject using power from these inverters, again, depending on the 12v supply to the inverter. I'm going to have to step up to a more sophisticated unit in order to be totally universal. I need an inverter that has a stricter control on it's output voltage, and not just dump everything it can at the outlet. 130v is pretty obscene on the high end. It should stop at 122v at the very least. Wish i could send these back. For the price on a pair, I could have just gone with a nicer unit for a little more.

It works
Works great for our 21ft motorhome. A good power source for lights, water pump, refrigerator, TV and microwave oven. Also an air conditioner. Of course, we do not run all of these at the same time.

Sleek design, and display information is nice.
I had previously been using a 400W inverter on our boat via our 12V cigarette plug, but needed a more powerful inverter for some other applications. This one so far has proven itself a great purchase. The unit itself has a very sleek look to it, and the digital displays of input/output, etc. are very nice to monitor the performance while it is connected. Because my previous inverter would often blow the fuse via the cigarette plug, I will likely mount this unit in the battery compartment for easy attachment to the battery directly with the included battery clips which are included (it also comes with the cigarette plug also). In the future, I will certainly add to this review should I experience any issues, but so far, a very solid purchase.

Don't even think about / way over-rated power / poor design
I tested it with a blender from our kitchen (a device with less than 400W power consumption). I started with slow speeds and gradually increased the speed of my blender. Some chemical smell started to come out (at that point I wasn't sure where it was coming from; inverter or blender?). At top speed inverter suddenly died (both output and the display). I unplugged the blender and tried to restart the inverter with no load; it's still completely dead. That means only one thing; blown fuse (inside). So that horrible design inverter (supposed to handle continuous 1000 Watts) can't even handle 400 W. It went back immediately. Yet it got worse; I plugged my 7 years old blender to wall outlet - it's completely dead as well. I opened it up; yes, that burnt smell was unfortunately coming from my blender. It has a switch-mode power supply design inside. Although it's only driving a motor (shouldn't be such sensitive load as an audio-video electronic device). But still, wave-shape output of this horrible inverter caused blender power supply to fry. Output of that inverter had to be square-wave (not even a simulated sinus-wave). Killing my blender; this inverter caused an additional loss for me. Stay completely clear from this (there are also few very similar looking ones - they ought to be same design - don't go with them as well). I returned it and bought a much better model with pure sine wave output and real 1300 W output.
