Head Tennis Sensor

I received this as a Christmas present in 2018, and installed it without a problem in a new Head racquet. It reported (disappointing) numbers for topspin, but I don’t doubt the accuracy. It also reported numbers for sweet spot that I’d like to believe. However, it never reported overheads or serves as those strokes. I was never able to record video tied to my hitting, as Zepp is supposed to be able to do. And finally there was no way to download statistics or show trends, so that was disappointing. Around June, it became difficult to charge the sensor and it’s since become impossible, so it seems to have a short lifetime.

This item was purchased as a gift last Christmas (2019). It was used approximately 25 times before it began to malfunction. After nearly 30 messages to tech support over the course of approximately 4 months, the sensor never worked again. The majority of those messages were initiated on my end, as tech support continuously ignored my replies. I repeatedly requested for a warranty claim to be processed as it was clear to me that the issue was not repairable. FINALLY, after months requesting such, a tech support reply indicated to me that it could not be resolved on their end (e.g. not a software issue) and that I should proceed with filing a warranty claim from the original seller (window is 2 years).

I wish there was an app or web portal for using on my mac. Looking at data over time would be vastly improved with this capability. I have no way of judging the accuracy of the device, I am just hoping for relative data. If I play aggressively in one session I hope my number show that compared to a more social or cooperative session.
