Depends on environment. In open country with direct line-of-sight and good alignment 30km. In a town or city with other signals, direct line of sight, 5-10km. Trees will stop the signal. Must be 'visible'

Is this a matched pair of dishes or just one so need to buy a pair?

You just get the one, should be around £40-£50 or close. They're good!

Say I put this in my shed and point it at my house which has wifi, what do need please keep it simple, is this it or i need something else ?

The antenna is powered using the PoE injector so you need electrical power for that. The antenna must be configured with a static IP address to get connected to the website so that you can configure the unit for operation with your wifi. This looks straight forward from the instruction manual but may not prove so in my experience. If you have problems I can help with the process if required.

This will easily do the job, maybe over kill depending what layout you have on the install. You possibly might get away with installing just one on the out building and pointing it to your home WiFi. Hope this helps
