This CanKit Raspberry Pi 5 computer with NOOBS, power supply, HDMI cable, case and fan works great
My CanaKit Raspberry Pi 5 Starter Kit PRO (with NOOBs software on the SD card) was shipped on time, intact, with no parts missing, and was well packaged. I put together the Pi 5 on the durable plastic case and the fit was perfect. The CanaKit power supply was well-made and worked as specified. It was easy to put the heat sinks on and insert the fan into the top cover of the case. When the Raspberry Pi was fully assembled I used my USB Logitec key board and USB mouse and Insignia smart TV 24 inch screen as an HDMI monitor. Now, I could control the computer. Everything worked well! As advertised, the Pi came with Mathematica which was easy to install and run. I have had excellent luck with Cana kits for the Pi 3 B+ as well as the Pi 5. With all the Python help one can get on the web and with web help using the Raspberrian terminal language, younger students as well as "seasoned veterans" can learn alot from this special, versitile computer.

Great Kit
This is a great kit. It has everything you need to get the Pi up and running. The case is my least favorite part, but it’s serviceable. My biggest issue is that it’s glossy, making it a fingerprint magnet. Also, the power button leaves much to be desired. But, it will work until I get a better case. The little fan spins up sometimes, but it’s not super loud. The heat sink is solid and has what looks like nice thermal pads correctly placed to make contact with the chips. The microSD card, reader, power supply and HDMI cables do their job. The Pi itself is great. I have an older Pi, but it’s nowhere near as powerful. I didn’t bother with the included OS, I downloaded Batocera Linux for the Pi 5 and wrote that to the card so I could set up an emulation system. The Pi is powerful enough to run games up to the Dreamcast, which is the most powerful system emulator included in Batocera. Though, it does struggle with some N64 games, but that’s just the nature of N64 emulation. All said and done, this is a nice kit and a decent value for what you get. I follow tech and prices on PC components are skyrocketing, particularly RAM, but storage and other components are also going up. So, getting all of this for $160 wasn’t bad.

malleable and beginner-friendly
Great gift to get into programming, an incredible playground tool. Has a very user-friendly UI with plenty of customizable opportunities. Easy to set up if you know what you’re doing. If not, YouTube will teach you. The brand alltogether performs very well. Make sure you are gentle with the technology and turn it on and off accordingly with use as the tech will cook if you leave it on 24/7 (my mistake).

Complete kit, some easy assembly required
Well thought out kit. Has everything you need to get started - heat sink, fan, case, micro SD preloaded with the OS. I was looking for a way to save my WEMO switches and outlets since Belkin has "thoughtfully" (sarcasm) decided to end all support. I looked into running Home Assistant using a Raspberry Pi. Given the outcome, I wish I would have done this sooner since my devices haven't been this stable before, ever. I also loaded Tailscale to control my devices remotely, so no more being dependent on the WEMO cloud. I am also able to control most of my other devices with this pi setup. Highly recommended. I have another Pi setup with Pi Hole to remove ad traffic on my network and it runs several other projects simultaneously. Again, nice kit, nice price and excellent function.

Pretty awesome little thing.
This is a pretty cool kit. I really liked the fan and heatsink included. Couple things I would change as it’s something marketed toward beginners though. For starters, I didn’t realize there was a micro sd slot on the bottom of the Pi (or even to look for it) I was plugging it into the usb adapter and then plugging the usb into the Pi. Call me stupid— but i genuinely didn’t know. Spent a couple hours trying to get it to boot. In that scenario it would post but wouldn’t load the GUI so it was super misleading. Eventually I just installed the OS on a USB and posted it that way until I cloned it over onto an NVME. I think a really easy fix would be to just add a little placard labeling each part of the Pi— maybe some arrows connecting the parts. Etc. Second issue I had was, as a starter kit, I didn’t like that you get a little bottlenecked by the case right off the bat. I feel like the starter kit should include a case the leaves room for growth. But that’s just my opinion. Overall though, i love it. Hosting websites and databases for personal use from it. Works like a champ. Stays impressively cool too with that fan.

Perfect Kit for Solar Assistant Monitoring Project – Remote & Kiosk Mode
I got this CanaKit Raspberry Pi 5 Starter Kit PRO (Turbine Black, 128GB, 8GB RAM) during a Lightning Deal, and I'm extremely satisfied with the purchase. Everything I needed was included, and buying the components separately would’ve definitely cost more. The full-size heatsink and active cooling fan were essential for my setup, especially since I mounted the Raspberry Pi inside a Wireway enclosure. This kit made it easy to get everything in place without worrying about overheating. Installation was straightforward and hassle-free. I used this kit for a solar system monitoring project using Solar Assistant, both for remote access and Kiosk mode on a touchscreen monitor adapted for the Raspberry Pi 5. Everything worked perfectly, and the project was a success.
