The scanning process does work
This was a replacement for one that stopped working. The faulty one was refunded quickly & we upgraded to this slightly better one, it works well & would recommend it any day

Disappointing
The scanner arrived with a lot of accessories and it looked good. But it was very difficult to scan with this device. It was keep loosing track, it couldn’t deal with simple changes (loosing the forehead when scanning someone’s head), used some of the dots on a bike frame but still was struggling. I tried it on sunlight, indoors with plenty of light and with directed light. Still didn’t work well. I sent it back and kept using my 8 year old photogrammetry scanner.

An amazing scanner that out performs many higher priced scanners
This is an amazing scanner that out performs other scanners I have used costing thousands more. Close and far ranges make it one of the most versatile scanners for high end hobby/professional work. Very well made and presented. The software is amazingly user friendly with on board image processing or connected to a PC with revoscan installed. Can scan some dark models well enough. Battery lasts about 2 hours on a full charge or use the power pack that is available. Highly recommended.

Found it very difficult to scan anything with meaningful results
I tried multiple items to scan, both with a turntable and without. I had zero luck. The image captured was awful quality and had huge sections missing or was misaligned. Each time I scanned the tracking points kept being lost so the scan ended up scrambled. I gave up after a few hours and returned the product.

Top Scanner

I definitely regret this purchase
I’ve tried to give the Miraco Pro a fair go, but I’ve had nothing but frustration with it. Scans are consistently poor, and the tracking is just terrible — it constantly loses track mid-scan, causing me to have to undo frames often, once tracking is lost it is difficult to regain. Even when it does manage to complete a scan, the meshing in RevoScan ends up full of artefacts and weird geometry. Dark or even slightly reflective surfaces? Forget it — it won’t scan them at all unless you use scanning spray, which is a pain. Some things I can't scan because I don't want to leave messy with scanning spray. I’ve gone through all the calibration steps multiple times hoping to fix the issues, but honestly, nothing has improved. What really surprised me is that I picked up a much cheaper Creality Otter — it was less than half the price on special — and it’s performing way better. It can actually scan black and reflective objects without spray, and the meshing is super clean with almost no artefacts. It is amazing how well it maintains tracking, and how easily it gets it back if it does lose it. I’m extremely disappointed in the Miraco. I’m thinking about selling it, but I’ll probably have to take a big loss. Just not worth it.

Works out of the box
I have the Pro Model. Overall I think it's pretty neat but the tracking sucks I'd tried others before this, but did not like them. They either had to be plugged in to a computer or a phone, and some used a phone as the screen. They just weren't good for a professional setup. More at an entry level hobby level for scanning on a turn-table in an office or kid's bedroom. This thing just works. Pros: -It works very well for turntable projects of light colours of with scanning spray -Works well on fast scan mode -Holds tracking better than others I'd used -Few bugs -The auto mode for colour range works smartly -Scanned fast enough to scan my dog before he moved -Accurate -Good options for range filtering -Good options for colour filtering -Full colour, or model only modes, whichever you'd like -Does its own rendering -Has smart rendering options -Can edit on the device -Can undo recorded frames on the device, or redo them -Saves multiple individual projects which can have their models merged on their Revoscan software -Good touch screen -Good memory -Fast processing -Comes with calibration equipment, BUT -Worked right out of the box Cons: -Has difficulty stitching flatter surfaces together (eg, car interior panels) -Has difficulty scanning a full car without losing tracking -Has difficulty scanning dark objects (I made a spray out of 99.9% iso alcohol and cosmetic grade zinc oxide which works great to lighten them up though) -When tracking is lost, it can be difficult to resume There's room for improvement in the way the software acts, and I wish it would have a mode in there to more intelligently resume tracking. Eg, tell you when it knows where it is again and ask you if it looks right. I've had to undo parts of scans multiple times, where it could be scanning a fuel door on a car and think it was a tail light for example. But it can get it right again. Usually I pause, go to where it thinks it is, delete that section, and start in that area again before moving away to the new area. I'd also like to be able to pause, manually remove a section which didn't scan right, and re-scan it. There's times where you can miss that something is slightly offset on a texture model and undoing back to it loses a large chunk of your scan UPDATE: There were software updates which made tracking pretty unreliable, removed a star

Goede aankoop
Deze scanner is echt een mooie aanwinst in mijn 3D Printshop, en maakt het ontwerpen van onderdelen veel eenvoudiger. Ik scan het onderdeel in, en heb dit dan in Fusion 360 om op verder te werken.
