Love this little thing. I'm about to get another one. I use it for work every single day and it keeps my yubi key safe. I'm getting another one for my own personal use to keep on me. It comes with a keychain loop so it fits perfectly on my lanyard Definitely recommend.

Works fine. Yubikey freely swings in and out if you tilt it. Yubikey will not fit if you attach a silicon usb cover to the yubikey because it becomes too wide on the tip to fit. Shaving the inside of the this product around that area might work if you have the tools. The provided key ring fits fine but if you are already using a thicker key ring and try to attach this product+yubikey onto it then it may not fit. Not sure if anything can be done about that since the yubikey's hole is part of the limiting factor. The included key ring isn't bad. You'll have to insert the key ring sideways on the thinnest top side to avoid having to over-stretch it. Overall it is fine. Could be nicer if its thickness was reduced a little.

This is absolutely excellent. Dust is the enemy of electronics, and this Protector Flip Case is perfect for keeping dust out of the Yubikey connector so that it will continue to operate normally. Additionally, it comes in a variety of great colors and also is very convenient to use as a keychain. An outstanding product which I highly recommend, at an excellent price!

As you can see from the pictures, do you really want to try and put a split ring on this. I work with split rings frequently and even with my tools, I couldn’t get that ring to stretch. It’s not just putting the split ring on the cheap holder. Just try stretching that split ring and getting it thru both plastic holes AND the Yubi key. That requires both very strong hands and hands that are also very nimble. I was at work and 9 or 10 people tried to put it on and couldn’t do it. Just look at the pictures and you’ll see why this thing will NEVER work. It was still too big for the key so I know the key would not have been protected. I bought a case for these keys and I’m happy with the case. This product is not worth buying so save your money. There are better products out there. Pretty soon, those Amazon stores with stuff returned that no one wanted, will probably have plenty of them but I’d not pay a dime for this thing.

Okay, Ive had this item for all but one hour. Just to disclaim. I also want to point out that I got this to protect my yubikey from damage as I keep it on my keychain in my pocket with all my other metal keys scratching up against it all the time. The item seems sturdy to me; the plastic is pretty thick and I do not believe it will break any time soon. That said, this is a simple 3-D printed item that anyone with access to a printer could make. A solid chunk of plastic that comes with a metal keychain ring. The item was well packaged and delivered promptly. Functionally, although I absolutely do believe the item can and will protect my yubikey from any shock, blows, scratching and other damage the key may be subjected to, all that is contingent on the yubikey actually being inside the hard plastic casing the item provides. Obviously. The problem is, nothing keeps it inside the casing. The yubikey is free to rotate out at the slightest gust of wind. Gravity within your pocket will pull the key out of the casing. Any shocks and blows that could damage the yubikey will surely knock it out of the protective casing, so Im not sure I'm getting much. Is it possible I got a faulty item? Sure, I guess so, but its not like there is a lot here that can go wrong and it doesnt appear to be damaged. Id be willing to guess that the designers of this product never actually tested it for practical use. Unless you are hyper conscientious of how you place your keychain in your pocket, and routinely check, which in my mind defeats the purpose and adds a stresser it was meant to prevent, youre kind of wasting your money on this. All youre effectively doing is adding weight and bulk to your keychain with little protective value. Now, a simple fix could be improvised, imo. A thin bit of plastic or a few layers of tape on the inside of the item could add enough resistance to motion to keep the yubikey inside the casing. But that is added work I dont think anyone here wants. Im going to go ahead and give this item the benefit of the doubt and call it a version1 product, and I will give three stars because, well, it does what it says it will do if you use it "right" (not that you have much choice), and its not like I paid a heck of a lot for it, and because Ive only had it an hour so I dont want to be too harsh yet. Its the sort of high quality you can expect from amazon.com, which is why I dont buy here much.

Sounds dumb if you didn't do it, but you need to insert the yubikey in the correct slot and align the holes, BEFORE you install the key ring in the hole. Otherwise, the key won't slide into the protective cover!! The ring will block it. Sturdy construction and appears durable.

This is a great combination of utility and simplicity. I have carried my Yubikey on my keychain for years, but I always had a nagging fear of damaging the connector end of the device, or having something in my pocket press on the button for long periods (and not knowing if that would be harmful in any way.) So when I saw this I thought I'd give it a try, and I'm pleased no end with it. It doesn't add enough bulk to what I already have in my pocket to be noticeable, and it protects all the dimensions of my Yubikey while still allowing easy, swing-out access. A great value for the dollar.
