The case I ever broughtDoes not feel cheap at all

I want to protect my beloved A2485 Macbook Pro. All sentimental declarations aside, this laptop is very much needed for my livelihood, and I would be lost without it. Putting a case on it is one of the most basic things I can do that offers a significant improvement in the projected lifespan of my laptop. In seeking a case, there are a number of qualities that I focus on:Does it offer scratch and bump protection?Is it nearly undetectable? (read: low profile, sheer, unobtrusive)Does it add rigidity to the monitor?Does it offer splash protection?Does it not interfere with ventilation -- or, even better, help to improve ventilation?Does it offer pads on the bottom to reduce impact and to prevent sliding?Is it reasonably priced?I had been using a case from another manufacturer for a while, one which had several shortcomings that eventually became untenable for me. In searching for a new case, I came across this item, and the description held enough resonance with the items on the preceding list, that I decided to give it a try.Here are my observations on the case:-For starters, this case is well packaged -- somebody put some time and energy into making sure this arrived safe and undamaged.-Installation could not be easier, just slide each piece into position and snap them in place.-The plastic is relatively lightweight, has a satisfactory rigidity to it, and is thin enough that at a glance it's hard to tell there's a case there at all.-I can read the fine print on the bottom of the laptop through the case -- which is great, because I somehow end up having to reference some number down there with a surprising regularity, and popping of the case can feel tedious in those moments.-The plastic does, in fact, resist fingerprints. Bonus.-It comes with a membrane for protecting the keyboard-However, this membrane is the same tacky-feeling kind that has been around for decades and which prevents me from typing with dependable accuracy-There are small protrusions around the edge of the case where it snaps around the laptop. Though they are small, they are obtrusive in that they are unpleasant to accidentally scrape your forearm over while reaching for the mouse-The case is open where the laptop ventilates, which limits any additional heat retention caused by covering the laptop in the case.-However, the price is fantasticTo summarize, though the keyboard cover is nothing special (so that I don't use it), this is a quality case which is neither flashy nor obtrusive, and which provides adequate protection at a discounted price. While I won't stop seeing what else is out there periodically, this is most certainly staying on my laptop for the time being.

If you own a MacBook Pro, I highly recommend getting this. The transparency is like it not even on it, and it will give you the peace of mind you’re looking for. A*****

This case has cracked after less than 1 month of use. I should receive a new one for no extra charge.

Corners cracked within a month. I am very gentle with my laptop and use a padded case. In the past My cases would last years before cracking. This one only took a month. Going to try a different product.
