Review: Keeps bugs out of porch lights! - We recently replaced the porch lights on our home and didn’t want to have spiders crawling up the open bottom of the fixture and making a home inside the lights. A short search and, huzzah this mesh appeared. It is exactly what we needed. It is stiff enough to allow a 7” x 7” square of it to sit flat inside the fixture without sagging. Is it a bit sharp and pokey? Yes it is, I was careful when handling and did not sustain any injuries. Could it be cut with a decent pair of scissors? Yes and by marking the lines with a permanent marker, it can be cut straight. The material is thick enough to provide the rigidity needed for the bug exclusion project and the mesh is open enough to allow the fixture to breathe. The sheet size was also about right for my needs.
