The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon: Season 1

Daryl Dixon finds himself stranded in France and looking after a boy and a group of nuns in exchange for safe passage back to America. Really enjoying these new spin offs splitting up the main characters of The Walking Dead feels like it's given the franchise a new lease of life with this series focusing on Daryl Dixon. The French setting is different too giving a new spin and showing the Zombie Apocalypse outside of America. Excellent performances from Norman Reedus returning as Daryl Dixon and the new French cast in a tense and thrilling series.

Does not work unless you have multi region player

I bought copies of this elsewhere and they didn’t work for uk consoles; voices delayed. Worried this would be the same but it’s not it works perfectly I would highly recommend buying from here, the series is great too!

Unfortunately doesn't work on any UK devices (Xbox series X, playstation 4 or dvd player) but after I purchased a region free DVD player it worked and I am happy with it

I worked out a marvellous review for this unusual serial while in the bath. Now I can't remember any of it! My wife and I have always liked Daryl in the WD series, and though this wasn't cheap we really wanted to give it a go. EpONE hits you from the start....FRANCE??? What gives? We find out but not for a long while. Betrayed by a couple who rob him he ends up in a nunnery and from there the plot develops. With a nun, a boy with "special gifts" and another nun, they all set off to find "The Nest" and safety, and Daryl to get a boat home (just like that). Of course along the way they have to fight off hordes of "Dead" in the usual squelchy, violent, overlong sequences we have come to love/hate. Also there has to be baddies, usually heavily armed, sadistic, nun killers, and a mysterious woman who seems to rule all of france (maybe not). Now here's the thing. There is the usual hardcore gore, and violence, some good characters, some really different scenery (it was filmed in France), with good CGI....But apart from Reedus there was only Clemence Poesy that I recognised. Everyone else (except for "Quinn") seems to be French or anyway unknown to me, and I missed more character involvment. Also can/does Reedus manage to carry 6 epispdes? He was always part of a large team - here - basically it is his show. I think he does. The ending is wonderful (No Spoiler) and begs a further series. A few "F" words but we are very used to that now...aren't we. Recomended, and much better (in my opinion) that WD DEAD CITY

If your a fan of the walking dead, this is brilliant .

This is very good series but only six episodes. I wanted more! Can’t wait for season two 🙏
