Cheap paper towels should be outlawed. They are not even cheap since they are usually one-ply terrible quality paper that can barely be torn cleanly if one really tries. In other words: cheap paper towels are crap and they ain't cheap in reality. After going through all the usual "best" paper towel brands I've settled on Bounty as the best combination of quality attributes. Now, things like "select a size" perks aren't uncommon you have to go straight to the reason for being for a paper towel. Simply put a "towel" that you use and dispose of. I quoted towel because to be worth its existence a paper towel should perform as close as possible to a cloth conventional towel as possible. How closely it does this defines its usefulness as a "towel" replacement. For just good-enough to make it in each of the strength, absorbency, and cost, Bounty rises above the current (2023) crop of "best" paper towels.
