Wow! The difference is amazing!!!
The "Tendelux" IR Flood Light really works even better than I expected. After an easy installation, all I could say was "WOW", what difference. This was money well spent. My neighbor recommended this IR light for adding excellent night visibility for "bargain security cameras" that work fine in the daylight but have limited infrared lighting power for the night vision to be effective. In my opinion, the night time visibility for a security camera is just as important, if not more so, than in daylight! When I first saw the huge increase of brightness and how far my security cameras could easily see, I was amazed! For my situation, it illuminates very good out to at least 140 feet from the cameras, has wide coverage, is well made and I will confidently buy others as our security needs require. There are 2 improvements I could recommend: 1. Provide a mounting bracket that would allow for horizontal AND vertical adjustment at the same time, such as a "Ball and Socket" type of adjustment. This would greatly improve the ability to provide exact light "aiming" for many different circumstances. With the light mounted in the horizontal position, it only rotates "up or down" and when the light is mounted vertically, it only rotates "side to side" / right or left. Also, the bracket does not allow for an easy or convienient mounting experience on the corner of a building. 2. A built-in automatic "dusk to dawn" ( on/off ) feature would be nice also, but the light only draws a cost effective18 watts of electricity so I think it's a toss up but it would be another selling point to consider. For most people, this IR light will work very well as it's doing for me. I am very satisfied with the performance and the price!

Bought 2020, still doing well in 2024...
Positives: Desert conditions usage. Most spray painted to blend into surroundings. Cleaned regularly with a solid stream from garden hose. Very water proof. Dark LED cover didn't fade. Treated poorly overall. Of the 8+ of this brand's similar lights of varying sizes, they all work like new even though I feel I have treated them poorly, in harsh desert conditions, and they look like heck from the sun. High quality, durable, and safe power supplies included. Power supplies subjected to temperature extremes (+10 to + 2145 in direct sunlight) in a 5 gallon bucket, filled with dust and webs, and occasionally subjected to high humidity. Negatives: Though the beam and what it illuminates is invisible to me, the device's LEDs are highly visible from over 100 feet away. Anybody looking in the direction of the lights will most likely notice them right off and know they are on. But this is not unusual for 850 NM lights.

Good illuminator but glows too brightly red for suburban application
Pros: Durable. I dropped it on a hard tile floor and it survived unscratched and still working. Nice spread of IR light really enhances the cameras' night vision. Placing it a few feet away from the camera makes the video more 3D looking at night from the IR shadows at an angle behind objects. The illumination is good. Cons: Bright red LEDs. Yes, all IR LEDs produce some visible red light. But these ones REALLY glow red. I tested it by placing the illuminator at my front door then walking about 50 feet to the street. The LEDs were highly visible. My application is for a hobby farm and my back yard, so the visible red LEDs don't bother me much. But I would never consider putting it on the front eave of my house. That would be an open invitation to all the neighborhood kids with BB guns and slingshots to practice on the illuminator at night. Yes, they are that visible. Also, they could have made the power cord a bit longer.

The IR Illuminator
I bought two of these lights. One in April and one in May. I also bought two 100 to 200 array style IR lights from other manufacturers. The Tendelux IRs' worked better than the other IRs' which I returned to Amazon as they were rather useless in comparison to the Tendelux IRs'. The Tendelux IR that I bought in May decided to quit working, so I notified Tendelux and they made the warranty replacement a painless experience. The replacement light works with no problems. I commend Tendelux on their warranty word, and the painless process. I will probably be purchasing another Tendelux IR Illuminator as I built a large shed which blocks both IR and floodlight lighting. I live in the country, and I have numerous surveillance cameras, both bullet and PTZ but I need additional IR for the surveillance cameras to see behind the new shed as the surveillance IR lighting will not go out that far and I need to see my animals, as well as movement by other critters, both animal and human. Although the Tenedelux IR does not reach the 200 ft range advertised (as far as detection by my bullet cameras) the PTZ cameras pick up the additional lighting although not as well as I would like. But, in comparison with the array lighting IRs' that I tried, it is the better choice. I would recommend the Tendelux IR 200 ft long range illuminator to anyone who needs an area lit for their surveillance cameras as an additional light source (other than floodlights). Note: This post may be a duplicate as I may have messed up on the first one.

Good metal body but not weatherproof and water intrusion cost me the light
Good until water leaked enough to start filling the lamp body and short out the circuit. Since i'm past the return period i decided to take it apart to see why it failed weather resistance. The lamp body is fairly industrious for LED's but the lamp quality is sacrificed by a cheap flimsy silicone seal that appears to waffle sideways and lets water slowly permeate past it. If your going to buy one, you'll need to disassemble and use Permatex gasket maker around the seal joint, then reassemble.

Great illuminator with even better customer service
I originally purchased this product in January 2018 to supplement my security cameras relatively weak IR lights in my backyard. This thing made all the difference in the world, and I was easily able to see down to my treeline about 120 feet away from my house even in the complete darkness of night! The illuminator has an auto-on feature that turns it on at night and off in the morning and this works without a hitch. The product has worked perfectly on a daily basis ever since but I noticed a few weeks ago that several of the IR LED's on its left side were no longer illuminating properly. The product still worked but obviously was a little less bright. I contacted Tendelux as I knew the product had a 2-year warranty just to see what they had to say. I received a very kind reply in less than a day and they sent out a replacement within a few more. I am very happy with their service and obviously they stand behind their products, I would definitely buy again.

Still low output, but not as bad as the first one. Who makes powerful IR 850nm illuminators? .
I have an Areccont 5426PMIR-S, It has its own internal IR light which comes on at night but the bugs cause problems so I wanted to get another IR and place it a few feet away. I disabled the camera's IR and only wanted to use this one, but it's range and intensity is disappointing. What to do. I'll post of pic of it illuminating my pickup in my driveway.

Of those on Amazon this is the brightest, hands down.
Used with YI cameras, lights solidly to 30 feet or more. Probably a lot farther if foreground objects dont reflect a lot. YI ( and very possibly other brands of) cameras adjust sensitivity according to brighter objects so they dont over-expose, and therefor with light colored boulders in the scene, the darker areas do not appear as bright as I would like. This is a camera issue, not a light issue. Used to watch animals around my koi pond (being built) and garden. We have at least one opossum so far and expect a lot more wildlife when the water feature is complete and the garden sniffs improve. This illuminator has a believable 90 degree angle, and is best put at a distance from the camera to eliminate super bright tracks from bugs that trip the camera, thinking it is “motion”. It is more narrow than cameras and if too close to your scene will give you a hot-spot. This is is a great 850nm IR illuminator, WAY better than the others I purchased on Amazon.
